Default Picked it up!

Picked up my gt3!! I’m exceptionally excited. This is my second pcar, first being a 992 CS.

Off the bat the two cars are very different. The gt3 feels a little twitchy, but not uncomfortably so. The biggest shocker (for me) is the ride quality, we actually found it more comfortable than the CS. Granted the CS has the 10mm lowered suspension. The gt3 felt more composed to me and actually more compliant over bumps compared to the CS. we chalked it up to maybe the age of the CS (2020 with 5k miles).

Happy to answer any questions.

Since you offered - Are those New Age cabinets and wall mounts? I am planning on a major upgrade to my garage and trying to figure out a cost effective but high quality cabinet and storage system.

I have a 2020 C2s with the 10mm lowered suspension and my new 992 GT3. For me, the ride quality is not significantly different on smooth roads, but the GT3 has more jounce on undulating pavement. That tends to go away as speeds increase. I'm glad to have both for different use cases.

nothing that fancy, “American laminate” laminates sent over to some company that custom make the cabinets based on garage size.

the slat walls were provided by some company I found on yelp, not sure where they are from, I’ll ask.

Looks great. I too will be moving from 992 C2S to the GT3. Should be at the dealer in the next few days. Unloaded in Jacksonville a few days ago and in transit according to TYD. I have a very similar spec with carbon roof and dark gray wheels, PCCBs. Any side view pics? I haven't seen many GT3s in shark blue with dark silver wheels and loving the look so far. I will post my pics at delivery in a few days: fingers crossed!!

I'm trading in my '21 4S for a GT3 - how much louder is it inside the cabin than your S? I've yet to drive a 992 GT3.

Isn’t the GT3 10mm lower than the CS? And what would age have to do with the suspension stiffness? Beautiful car!

Both need a DSC box, cheapest and best suspension mod.

I should have been clearer. Age came into question cos we noticed a few thing I thought were normal, some sort of buzzing/rattle over uneven pavement and an interesting behavior at low speed where it feels like there is some slack and hookup like a swish in the drivetrain or transmission - that is what we chalked up to maybe age? I think all that makes it seem like the suspension is less compliant and I’m conflating multiple things? The gt3 just seemed overall more refined.

ps. I’m no gearhead or journalist. I might express things the wrong way.

Not much louder from the inside to be honest. Just more refined, like a clearer engine sound.

I don't think they have one yet for the 992 GT3

Congrats on your new delivery and perfectly filled up garage! I also saw your goodbye post over on Bimmerpost a few weeks back.
