My ED car with AirTag was on the same Glovis Clipper trip as DD, Emden 11/24/22 to Benicia 12/23/22 (?). The AirTag reported it unloaded at San Diego 12/20 for a few hours, in a parking lot off Terminal Ave, one half mile from where the Clipper was moored, then apparently reloaded and on to Benicia. Our cars disembarked at the port of Benicia on the same day. DD's was delivered in a few days. Mine did not leave an Amports lot for PNW for over a month despite several inquiries. I conclude there is little rhyme or reason to these things and patience is a virtue. Not easy when the Bay Area is seeing all kinds of winter storms and nearby flooding. Despite the wait, the car arrived seemingly no worse for the wait. Except ... there is still a faint mark from the outline of the tape used on the inside of the front windscreen to hold the shipping label in place between October drop off and February delivery. No glass cleaner solution seems to fully get rid of it. Oh well.

Dear Andreas Preuninger, love the car, but not the lightweight glass.

boat moved on from SF port and is now in Benicia - but buddies GT3 Touring airtag pings at the SF location - although a different parking lot vs. it's last ping - but it hasn't pinged again - so still in conclusive as to if it got off the boat in SF…

Default Vehicle on the way

Was notified my vehicle departed Emden on Oct. 27, now due to arrive San Diego Nov. 27. A pleasant surprise since I was previously informed shipment would be about 2 weeks later. Not told what vessel the vehicle was loaded onto but the VW shipping schedule shows Gentle Leader was the only vessel sailing from Emden on Oct. 27 & due to reach San Diego Nov. 20. So I presume my car is on that vessel. But I’m just curious why the shipping schedule shows arrival San Diego Nov. 20 while Porsche is telling me the vehicle will arrive at the port Nov. 27. Are they under-promising in the hope they can over-perform?

It seems to be a good sign, not sure how they decided to unload a car in SF instead of Benicia though.

My sales called me this morning, the cars seem to be still unloaded in Benicia as what shows on the schedule. And, the cars in Benicia will not be able to leave the port until 11/4 due to the annual audit

Damn, so what my dealer told me is correct. The cars are still unloaded in Benicia, and no one will get the car before 11/4

I am alittle nervous now. Porsche sent me the email that my car was on the SFL Conductor headed to Houston. Looking at the schedule above it heads from Jacksonville to Houston. But I just checked the location of the SFL Conductor…all the tracking sites indicate it left Jacksonville and is headed to Mexico! Uh, so where is my car going?!?

They stop in Mexico before Houston. It’s not a long stop.

Sucks, I dropped my car off on ED 2 months ago and it’s taking forever to get back. Other people who dropped theirs off weeks after mine already have theor cars back at dealers

No they don't. I've had four of five cars come to the port in Huston following ED and not once did they stop in Mexico first. Veracruz is post Houston.

Mine stopped in Mexico before going to Houston. Another member also had another ship stop in Mexico before going to Houston. I suppose there is no way of knowing which way it will go.

Is it normal to get the VIN number before the car has started production? Popped up in my Track Your Dreams, but supposedly car won’t start production for a few more weeks?
