I alredy broke the two plastic splitters on the front wheels used to vent the brakes

Those brake ducts seem poorly designed for driving on the street. They offer little value on the street and have the downside of breaking off too easy. It would be a pain in the rear to keep replacing them regardless of cost. Sure on the track they will be helpful to the brakes, rotors and pads, but on regular street driving they seem like a nightmare.

Same goes for all the other aero bits on these cars (including the 991, et al). People put canards/dive planes on their front bumpers but they probably can't hold more than 15 lbs. before snapping off. So are they really doing anything? How much weight can that front lip handle before it breaks? Maybe 10 - 20 lbs.?

But the stick-on aftermarket canards? Well they certainly must be doing less than their adhesion strength.

interesting opinions here
some are saying these things are not needed on street
some are saying not needed on street or track
so why Porsche engineers put that piece in ?

The wing... sure. You can literally sit on it. But yeah, stick-on aero bits always confused me

That 3M tape is freaking strong. Also, some of the canards are bolted on.
btw, if you have 2 on each side and they each get 25 lbs of downforce, that’s pretty significant at the lever position where they are installed.
Are most people driving that close to the limit, perhaps not, but some are.

There's a difference between aero parts that in themselves exert downforce pressure, like a wing, and then aero part which are there to direct airflow. Downforce can also be created by reduction of lift. So just because you see a small plastic piece which can't carry much of anything, it can have a significant effect if it smoothes the airflow towards a diffuser, directs air away from an A arm and what not.
Again all this has to be taken with a grain of salt on street cars. If an aero piece creates 25 lbs. of downforce at 200 km/h, then you get 6.25 lbs going around a bend at 100. That is not really contributing to anything.

Those deflectors should only be installed for track use. They hang too low and will catch all kinds of rocks and debris on the street. Curious about what the Manual says about the deflectors.
I know the Camaro 1LE's and the Corvettes have deflectors for the street and another for the track. I can't imagine why this would be any different for the GT3.

BTW this is how the parts look like right now after the removal (in case someone wonders how those break)

Can't imagine what those scopes would do in a snowy environment.
