Default LWB Seat Inserts

Hi all,

I like both of these seat centers for my GT3 Touring (Meissen Blue with Graphite Blue/Black interior). Which would you choose, Pepita or Blue Tartan?

Also thanks to Anthony at Carrara Design (https://carrara.design/) for doing these visualizations. He was great to work with.

Pepita

Blue Tartan

Black

Many of us have had our CXX consultations with PCNA already and pepita cannot be had at the moment. You have only 2 options for inserts for the time being

^ With that being said, the first tartan on the left I think would suit your build quite nicely.

Gotcha. When I asked the PCNA rep why options were so limited at the moment, he explained the new airbag sensors that are integrated within the inserts are very sensitive and that different materials would not allow for the sensors to function properly. He also said any adjustment of the sensors can only be achieved via ECU calibration, which sounds crazy but has been confirmed by several others saying the same.

Point being, aftermarket inserts my cause sensor issues and possibly even warranty issues. Just something to look into

Thanks for the heads-up. I will definitely look into it before purchasing anything. I am hoping that as more of these cars hit the market a solution will present itself...hope isn't a great plan but where there's money to be made there's someone trying to make it. Thanks again.

OP (or others) - is it your impression that when you select the two-tone interior (in this case black upper/graphite lower) that the seat inserts will be black rather than graphite? And are you expecting them to be leather or the touring cloth?

Thanks.

Yes. That is what the configurator says.

Here's a screenshot.

Thanks to all those that voted. Seems pretty conclusive to me :-) My 12yr old son said, the pepita is like you are wearing a tux and it's formal, the tartan makes the interior come together, and the black is blah!. If P1 Designs can figure out the airbags properly, maybe I will get both and resell the one I decide not to keep.
