When I requested it the other day, the answer wasn’t that it’s not offered. It was you are v260 and it’s too late now.

Recognizing you are different since you are ED, it probably still be worth another check on your lock date. Mine just moved up almost a whole month and locks in a little over one day.

Not that the TYD lock date means anything since mine has shifted many times, including twice within about 24 hours of lock date. My car was originally scheduled to be complete by now (before the CA manual issue came up).

The PPF option on other Porsche models is installed at the US port from what I was told.

That's what I expected. It's not a great idea to apply to fresh paint (long boat ride or months of storage like my car gives ample time for paint to cure...)

Hmm, when I was inquiring about ED, I was told the OEM PPF option for ED is applied at the factory in German (Zuffenhausen).

Maybe I was given wrong info ...

I think PCNA has their own option at port. For PAG, I think you can only get the typical track wrap style PPF. At port, via PCNA, you can get the full spectrum.

It was quoted for my PTS/CXX GT3T applied in Zuffenhausen just prior to ED.

who did you talk to in order to get that ordered? My car is already built waiting for me to pick up in Zuffenhausen, would be nice to have this done prior to arrival as opposed to waisting a day of travel time to get one applied. Thanks!

Any advice?

I need to decide by tomorrow if I’m going to do euro delivery but it seems my date would be November 10.

I’m worried about weather. Also I’m told that both the Nurburgring (wasn’t sure if I’d do it anyway) as well as the Leipzig track will be closed due to the mud slides.

in Stuttgart the Porsche museum will be closed.

So due to likely snowy conditions I wouldn’t be able to do the Black Forest or switzerland and I’d have to likely stay close to Stuttgart and cut the trip short to something like 5 days.

anyone with any experience have advice? Will it be worth it to go given all these circumstances?

If you're staying near Stuttgart, drive to Audi factory in Ingolstadt, you can take S-bahn to Mercedes factory, BMW- Munich pretty close too, Leipzig has mud slides? You drive their car on the track in Leipzig, and thats only if you do "cross delivery" and pick up 911 there, Why is the museum closed? theyre usually only closed Mondays, can you still do factory tour? You dont have to go flat out at the Ring, its fun even taking it at 6/10ths

ok, so its a bit of a hassle and Id be annoyed to miss the Porsche Museum, but 5 days, here's my suggestion, day 1 fly in to Stuttgart, or if you want to go 150 mph on a train fly into Fra and take the ICE-3, get off train at Hauptbahnhoff and walk to Le Meriden or Zeppelin, rest or shop rest of day, if you're there early enough take S-Bahn to Mercedes Museum.day 2 usually euro delivery has factory tour and then car delivery, I heard theres now 2 tours one for original factory the other for Taycan, see if you can do both, it might take 2 separate days, drive car back to hotel, if you go back to Porsche take S-Bahn. faster/cheaper, Day 3 try Audi factory/museum drive to Ingolstadt, Maybe you can drive to Sindelfingen/Stuttgart to Mercedes factory tour same day, day 4, drive to Munich BMW museum/Factory Tour, day 5 drop your car off at Porsche, if you have any loose time, Auto und Technik Museum in Sinsheim, rmember Coivd-19 might jack up all your plans, and Germans dont play, if they say you're quarantined guess what, they mean it. My ED was pick up Stuttgart. next day Ingolstadt, then drove to Leipzig factory tour, (only can drive track you pick up there) the I drove to Autostadt in Wolfsburg, then to the Ring for 3 laps and back to stuttgart, it was a whirlwind tour, let me suggest if your wavering can you do a PEC tour here at home? My rule for Germany check make sure there aren't any weird holidays ruining your time, the German word for closed is geschlossen, make me suicidal to fly across planet and stuffs closed on holidays, my rule for Germany is get there Tuesday and leave Sunday, museums are closed Monday, I believe Porsche still runs factory tours on Mondays
