Sorry, I didn’t get past “Wall Street is run by democrats”. Glad to see you’re well stocked in good stuff before the holidays.

One thing to note, there have been several Youtubers lately that have pointed to data supporting either prices falling or stabilizing. Doug Demuro pointed to them falling, and he is using actual auction data as he has a team of people who evaluate pricing and reserves for Cars & Bids which he founded. Then there are other guys like Harold from Four Wheel Trader on youtube which many of his videos are posted here. The thing to note about his videos, is he is using listed prices of cars, and shows them having stabilized. i think Doug's method of using actual auction closings and sale prices is far more relevant than what cars may be listed at, especially given the speculative nature of the GT car market with people listing cars all over the place (Doug has also built a $100M+ online auto auction platform vs. Harald appears to be in a basement). There are GT cars that have been listed for 485 days, with 23 miles on them. This is a discussion based on actual data the last few months, not speculation on prices going forward.

The SC was never available at MSRP, even so you can't compare a car that came out recently. It would make more sense to look at actual sales of models that have been out more than 6 months.

Default Fair trade in 23 tts

My 2024 tts PTS is built and on its way to port. I have a 2023 turbo s that msrp’d for $255. Has 1400 miles. Nice build. Thoughts on $245k trade value, fair for the pts allocation with no ADM? Trade in is perfect. PPF front, ceramic coat….

Remind you a bit of the housing market back in 2006 with the "buy now or be priced out forever" motto?

I was offered a 2024 Turbo S cab at msrp last week. Seems the turbo s cab is not all that popular compared to say the GT3. I turned it down- at that time. But sent the salesman an email earlier today - Sunday- and asked if it is still available. I am addicted to building cars on the configurator and then waiting for them. My wife does the same but shoes are a lot cheaper!

It depends on the market, they won't ever be as popular as a GT3, but they are still somewhat tough to come by. I know a salesman in Canada did a 5 minute long tik tok of the wait list on every 911 variant at his dealership , ~20 different models, and the S Cab actually had one of the longest waits for his dealership. It is also winter time, so there may be less demand for the S cab in some parts of the country. In SoCal, I am seeing some people back out of Turbo S cars they already built.

Seems fair to me if both cars purchased at MSRP. You drove the 2023 and dealer may not be able to sell it at MSRP.

Problem is, the TTS depreciation curve is steeper than that of a GT3. So all things being equal and PTS color aside, there will be some money left on the table, certainly on the back end when it is time to depart from the MY24. This said, do whatever you want, it's your money. Good luck!

SC is on its way down. 649 asking to 499 asking in just a few months.

P. AG. did SC customers a disservice by offering the Heritage Interior Package as an option on 911s. Which leaves you as an owner, with nothing other than a numbered car with an engine/tranny mating and some decals. Don't get me wrong. I would love one, but not at $200K over sticker.

Even the ADMs on the numbered models will slowly come down in time, they won't get to MSRP but maybe around $100k over. We'll see I guess.

I honestly don't personally get the SC - its pretty for sure and has nice seats - but $500K for a (slow) Turbo with a manual? I am not sure I would take one except at MSRP and just to be different. Not trying to offend any S/C owner but at $500K - soo many alternatives that I personally would take.

For the low low ADM of $472, Friday at Laguna 103db. No place I'd rather be on the nightmare of Black friday then on a racetrack away from the crowds

The bay area GT cars got to make a showing guys, this is a great event and its going to be 62 and sunny LFG!!!!

Drove a loaner base Cayenne today, I believe 2024 model. I was underwhelmed and disappointed. Doesn't drive nearly as well or sound as good as our 2013 Cayenne GTS though, to be fair, the GTS was $100k a decade ago, whereas the new one is $92k, so the GTS is a much more expensive vehicle when adjusted for inflation. The handling of the new Cayenne is just ok - not fun to drive - and you can barely hear the engine. The interior of the vehicle is also kind of plain, doesn't look high end.

All of this drives home the point for me that Porsche sports cars vs the SUVs and sedans are two very different categories of vehicles, targeted towards different kinds of buyers and drivers. The stuff we discuss about scarcity, ADMs, etc. with the sports cars generally doesn't really apply much to the utility cars.
