Shark Blue is VW Cornflower Blue

Thanks for the heads-up on Cornflower being identical. I was able to go find a Golf in Cornflower right down the road from the local Porsche dealer to finally see "Shark Blue" in real life. My conclusion: not my favorite blue at all, so definitely not for me. And I really wanted to like this color.
I suspect some of it was seeing it on a Golf vs. seeing it on a GT3 (GT3 always makes any color look better IMO).

Watching from the peanut gallery (ie, no interest in newer GT3), this is hilarious, especially some of the posts above.
Suspect some of the other earth shattering updates from that AP video on this GT3 will turn out to be in a similar vein and the true criticism will come out when the 992.2 version is released.

Some colours just suit cars and body shapes better than others. I don’t think that colour looks that great on the golf, but it looks great on the 911 IMO.

Another Shark Blue (Cornflower blue) on SUV VW ...this color will be everywhere next year
imagined you are driving a new shark blue GT3 and cornflower VW pops up next to you ..that would be fun 🤭

This is kinda funny. Shark Blue is a lowly VW color, but paying PTS money for a Toyota color is all the rage.
I'm not sure I've seen cornholio blue is person, but it's my frontrunner pic for my next GT3 even if 25% of cars will be in this color and worthless as a result.

Perhaps the premium for Shark Blue is for the R and D required to come up with the name? I am sure that took a lot of thought. Or perhaps they need to pay AP royalties for having the insight to nick a color from the VW parts bin for the purposes of using it as the 992 GT3 debut color? It will be interesting to find out, perhaps someday, whether AP's yachting story is true, sort of true, or completely apocryphal.

Thanks - missed it.
I just received a scale car and lanyard from Suncoast in the Shark Blue. It looks really good - regardless if it is a rename of cornflower.

Saw Cornflower/Shark today on a GTi, it's OK.
Cornflower is not as dark as Voodoo, certainly way darker than either Mexico/Riviera/Gulf/Meissen. Less violet/purple than Maritime. Miami is way more green.
Certainly Golf is darker/more mature than Shark as are Albert, Deep Sea & Pantone296C.
PS I've owned a few of these color plus Santorini Blue on a BMW.
