I agree that a car focused on track days experience, should have the most performing gear to better serve its purpose.
But PORSCHE, please make the 50th anniversary Carrera RS trubute a manual!
The original RS was a homologation vehicle, and as such it was intented to be used mainly on the road.
We need the new homage to be a manual too please

I never even considered an RS because it didn't have a manual option. I'm not a race car driver trying to beat the next guy. I just drive for fun. This thread has me salivating now.
I'd get one.
I'd get one.

Would tick the manual option on a 992 GT3RS in a heartbeat. I'm still getting a 992 GT3RS regardless of the transmission that's offered, but a manual would make it that much more sweeter to me.
I definitely don't think that's happening as Porsche has clearly found success in offering the manual as an option for the GT3 while keeping the RS strictly as a PDK for laptime reasons, but as someone that will drive his GT3RS on the streets primarily - a manual would be really nice to have.

If offered I think I would opt for a manual in the 992 GT3RS as well.

This is why I am considering going GT3 Touring Manual to have more fun on the street and get something else for track, whether it's dedicated car or GT3RS or C8 Z06....dunno. But I haven't decided on the approach to take.

But yeah I'd bet GT3 manual is more fun on street then 3RS.

great idea... i'd want one for sure and not surprised by the division of opinions here.
there's no doubt a 3RS is meant to be more track focused than the GT3, but it's still by and large a street car. a manual makes those days between track days more fun for a lot of folks. buying a street car assumes it will see some street time, so why not make that more fun? if it's truly a track-only car you're after, why not get a Cup car for the added theater, performance and safety?
The arguments never end. Some want a GT3 with buckets, wing, radio delete, PDK and lightweight glass.. others want a GT3 Touring, manual, a back seat with extra USB connections, acoustic glass and a Burmeister sound system. Of course there will be similar divide with the 3RS.
The spice of life....
