Allocation + ADM?
#1246
I think he is saying he'll order a weird spec in every color fro each dealer charging an ADM and then walk away once the car comes in. Hmmm, maybe I should do that with all the CA stealers since deposits in CA are fully refundable...not like I'll ever do business with those a-holes in the future.

Still looking for an allocation so if an excess one comes along from the experiment above then PM me please. I’ve got some color ideas for sure!

this could become something like the GameStop shenanigans. If it were done well enough they would be forced to rethink the allocation process and in a weird twist make some very unusual and 1 of 1 builds like python with blue wheels or…

Very tempting....maybe I'll start giving a few CA stealers a call this week. Only thing that would be a bit of a pain in the *** would be to chase down each stealer to get my deposit back.

Looking at some of the builds that come through Beverly Hills Porsche on their Instagram, I wouldn't be surprised if they easily were able to sell any ridiculous combination of colors.

I am thinking of backing out of my GT3 order. The car is due early November and I paid a $30k ADM. Please PM me if serious and I'll make the intro to my dealer. The dealer is located in CA.

Not GT3 build, but other 911 builds. One of their salesman has 200K+ Instagram followers and posts cars. He also cold revs every single customer car in a cringy video. The last car I saw come in was an Aventurine Green with brown interior and bright green / python tach accents. The bright green with the brown leather looked absurd, along with an exterior in another green that clashed heavily with the tach accent colors.

Question about allocation. First time GT car buyer. I have a #4 spot at a dealer in Maryland and when talking to my SA, he says they have only assigned 1 allocation to the #1 guy and has no information on what how many they will get or when others are coming. Just asked him again today. Nothing. Is this typical?
Do they know how many they have for the year already and just playing dumb and assigning it to people paying higher ADM then me?
Based on what’s reported here from more experienced buyers, it seems the dealer should know exactly how many they will be getting by now and when right correct?
I’m trying to gauge the chances of me getting a car ever and whether to actually hold hope or kind of resign to the fact that it’s not going to happen and make different plans.
Don’t mind waiting, but this what if situation is more of what sucks.
If he is telling the truth, are there really dealers out there that only get 1-2 cars a year?

All NA dealers got their fist allocations. All have been assigned and while some got 10-20, some others got 1-2. It all depends on the dealer size and business.
Here in FL, all GT3 allocations have been spoken for, some for MSRP for Porsche and dealer VIP list, some for ADM 30-60K and some are kept by the dealer to spec a car and sell it in the dealership.
The word is that there may be another allocation later in the year/early next year for a mar-jun of next year delivery, but no one knows when, if and how many.

Good news, LA dealer called this morning, sold their first allocations for 50k over, have one left for local buyers at 30k. I'm still passing but if anyone wants it, DM and I'll pass the SA information. I hope this trend continues

one thread that will never happen:
You know, I got the car. It’s too rough. It’s too noisy. I bought into the hype but this whole GT thing I don’t understand what the fuss is. I made a mistake and want to get rid of the car and buy something more useable.
I’m not saying the situation above won’t happen, just that no one will admit to it.
