Allocation + ADM?

The dealer requires a PPF and ceramic on all GT3s????????? What a joke. And of course they want you to use their installer, probably some operation that others may not want to use. This is just unbelievable. These people really go too far. Anyone who doesn't see the facts of how dealers are manipulating the pricing please wake up and smell the coffee!!

I ordered a Ford Bronco in January and the dealer tried to pull the same crap. Nitrogen and wheel locks plus 7 year paint protection. They said all there Broncos were being sold with it.
I told him to take it off because I wasn't paying for something I didn't want. It was the end of the discussion. Same should happen with this PPF on a GT3. I would never get PPF on that car unless I vetted the installer. Granted, this is a GT3 where the dealership has most of the power.

No one is telling me who to use for PPF. What garbage....

Reading this thread -
1 - another reason glad not to be in US
2 - business is about relationships
3 - seems to me that the adm being applied is actually a pita fee
My business is no different to P. I can only provide x of my product and service a year. I prioritise those that I provide that to by point #2 above. Either because they are strong in that area, or because they are likely to encourage other people strong in that area. Someone not strong in that area, I might look to charge them 5% more (which is much easier for me that P, as my product/service doesnt have an MSRP). That's my choice as a business operator. Don't like it, see you later. Welcome to capitalism.
If you don't have a strong enough relationship to have no ADM applied you have two choices, work on the relationship or pay the ADM.
Imagine you own two golden eggs, and in your will you leave one to your son (who has said he wants it) and one you send to auction as your estate just wants the liquid cash.
Then you have a bunch of soy boys complaining that:
"I can't believe he gave one to his son" (relationship) and
"I can't believe someone else paiud more than I want to pay" (ADM / free market)
"It's not fair, I want one too!"
Now, imagine a scenario where you were prevented from doing either of those things. So - you're being told that you can't sell it for less than premium to someone you would like to, nor can you sell it for the most the market will pay, no you have to sell it to this person because they're squawking the loudest (who is neither the person you most want to sell to for either reason). That's not a world I want to live in.
I get that I'm rife for attack posting this.
I get this a lot of frustration for wanting something and it being difficult to obtain it.
But - I want you to get that there is a level of entitlement on show here that needs to be called out.

it is, and it's a bit raw, but the point is still valid. There just aren't many sensible ways to divvy up "many thousands of people want a hundred October 2021 slots". There's money, favors, lottery and first come/first serve. Well, the franchise system makes the latter largely unworkable. Indeed, each dealer gets to choose for themselves. Shockingly, they don't prefer lottery over money. But only in America, I'm sure ....

I see your point, but do those golden eggs have an MSRP stamped in big bold letters on them by the golden goose herself? (pedantic, I know)
And also, I'm actually not fired up about the ADM thing. But if someone told me I have to buy something with a PPF mandatory to be installed by the dealer? Hell no. I would ask them if they've ever personally removed PPF. Because, it is a huge pita. I'll never get it again. I'll get the temporary ugly stuff if I ever track, because the track is murder on paint (and the PPF too), but that's it.

Was offered October/November build spot for $25K at my local dealer (Northeast). $30K at a dealer down in VA, not too far from DC.
After waiting 5 days to reply back to them with a "No", my SA stated "Thanks for the update, I think the build spots are all spoken at this point."
To each his own. =)

On the fence between the 992 GT3 or 991 RS. Haven't found this answer yet but how does payment of ADM Work, is this paid direct to dealer non taxable and separate from the purchase order?

How it works is you go in thinking you are such a lucky person and feel all important that you were able to get such a desirable car, and then you promptly hand over a brick of tens of thousands of dollars for no additional services or features to your dealer which they subsequently put in their pocket and have the biggest ____-eating grin for gouging you and everyone else they get to do this and laugh all the way to the bank for pocketing additional money over the already premium pricing for no discount on a car they bought from PCNA.
