Wow, surprised why you have to pay a deposit? Not you per say, dealers if they trust they don’t ask for a deposit. Never paid a deposit on a car.

Classic. Can't find the pic now but I snapped a similar shot off a GT2 RS at Porsche Irvine around 18 months ago. "Used" car (100 or so miles) with a $200K ADM!

My guess is so they can keep track of their allocations and earmark them for those that are serious, rather than those that are not. Since this is my first GT car from them and first new car, they want a deposit if they are going to lock up an allocation for me. Maybe the next GT car, they won't ask for one, not sure.

Bitcoin is ridiculous. Friend of a friend was making $40K/year in his job...he just made over $2M on Bitcoin selling coins he rec'd as payment for doing yard work many years ago. Held on to the damn things all this time. Went out and bought an Aventador Roadster.

Could be, once you get a build code they know where the cars are. You don’t have a car until you get a build code even with a deposit.

I just called my dealership and confirmed I am number 1 on their list and they also reaffirmed that they wont charge me any ADM! Their one VIP guy has his own specific allocation that doesn't count against their allocations.

They are getting at least one allocation on March 5th for a June build and I am getting it. I am super excited!

The only bummer is that I can't do European Delivery unless I have dual citizenship. Hopefully things will change by the time June rolls around.

Negative. I've never bought a new p car. Plenty of buyers spec nice cars and turn them in better than new condition, no miles, paint corrected with ppf etc... God bless 'em. I'm not rationalizing anything, just pointing out the reality that some people's time value of money varies considerably from the ADM police on rennlist. Some people probably consider buying new Macans and Cayennes in order to secure an MSRP GT car an ADM.

manual NA is a great combo. So are many other cars. Get the GT3 and don’t be myopic that there aren’t other great cars out there. Cheers.

This is one of those “ha ha I don’t pay ADM and look what else I’ve got” posts. Totally irrelevant to the substance of discussion
Someone pee in your Cheerios this morning?

600lt? 991GT3? .1 RS. All in the same price point as the new gt3.

and yes, I don’t pay ADM. I have a gt3 allocation and will enjoy spending out my car at msrp. Cheers to you.

No...actually I won't chill...here's why:

What part of this thread did your line of, "...I have an allocation, wont be paying ADM..." have anything to do with anything nor does anyone care? Again, it's "ha ha, I have an allocation and you don't"

pull the plug out of your ***

I don't know who on Rennlist came up with the phrase "value thread", but it makes me laugh every time.
