Don't remember for Touring specifically. Winged I believe was mid-late summer. Canada is also 1-2 months behind the US or has been in the past.

I can only speak to my dealer network (which is 5 total Porsche stores across the US), there are 2 separate lists for GT3 allocations. Winged and Touring. I'm 1st on their Touring list.

Was indirectly told something similar -- was asked to verify that I wanted a touring instead of the wing.

Touring is an option of course on any GT3 (at least those built after a certain date). Perhaps if Touring option is available later, they want to know who wants what so they can funnel earlier allocations to non-Touring folks.

Again, that doesn't seem to be the way that they are dealing with it on the early allocations. May speak to greater differentiation between the models, may not.

Based on the conversations I've had it seems the massive increase in demand for the Touring for this new gen has prompted certain networks/stores to do things differently this time around (ie 2 different lists). I understand for the 991.2 if you had a GT3 allocation you could simply select Touring as your trim.

During those conversations I was also told that for the US the winged and Touring cars will share the same production schedule (first cars are to be built in July), even though the Touring is not to be officially launched until May.

Either the Touring is just an option on a GT3 like last time, or it is a separate model with it's own allocations in the system.

Last time dealers were making "Touring" lists and selling "Touring" allocations as well, which was all BS because anyone could tick the Touring box on the configuration after a certain allocation build date.

My closest friend of 15 years runs 2 of the 5 stores I mentioned above. He told me I'm first on their Touring list. I'm inclined to take his word for it considering the cars purchased from him in the past. This isn't a local dealer playing games. I don't care which "list" I'm on as long as I get my car, which I will

Waiting for a PTS Touring allocation at MSRP. After reading through these threads, most likely won't be getting one. Demand must be insane.

I am on list for a 992 GT3T, and my experience has been similar to many here. I was not top of the list in Q4 2020, but I was recently told I am first for a Touring, which was what i put deposit down for. Seems they have bifurcated the list. And I heard 3/31 also for configurator. No mention of production timeline.
Really hoping for rear seats to pair with the manual. I would be fine with stock suspension, but if they make a tad softer I am sure it will be plenty capable. Plan is for B roads, tours/rallies, road trips and a few track days a year.
+1 Touring order with a longhood in garage. While I find the wing attractive, I don’t want the attention it attracts. To each their own, and Porsche has finally realized that.

I wonder how many people would opt for a GTS with a 4lt NA engine (if it is was available) rather than a touring? There seems to be a number of members who are after a touring with rear seats, softer suspension and a slightly quieter cabin. It would be interesting to see what the GT3 touring demand would be if such a GTS existed.

I think 70% of touring buyers would choose this car if it was available to them. Though a substantial minority 30% still want a hard edge GT product that is less conspicuous on the road.

However, the majority (70%) just want an NA GTS, (still a drivers car, but less conspicuous, less noisy, and includes rear seats) but Porsche no longer makes this car, so a Touring is the closest thing to it.
