Keep in mind so many videos are just meant to capture eyeballs, sometimes they'll say something purposefully stupid or confusing just to get you to watch. And sometimes they're just posted by idiots

Looks like the US configurator went live. I just ran the initial configuration I've been playing with. Definitely coming out more expensive than I was estimating to the point it's actually kind of disheartening.

I don't know, given where current used GT car prices are it seems like a bargain!

It seems like the prices of the older GT cars increased with the new car. I was just looking around online for used ones and seems like people are asking about $20k more than the average I was noticing even early this year and late last year.
It's just a bummer after having a deposit in for close to 2 years and obsessing over this thing for that long having a best guess of coming in around $170k-ish with a handful of options but ending up at $194k before tax and all that (Basically $208k at our rate here). Just watching the pricing trends between previous models this just seems like a far more substantial jump. There's a reason they are the most profitable car company in the world, but it sort of feels like they are passing losses from the pandemic along to the consumer to some degree. It's a great car and am sure this is just initial shock/disappointment talking, but man, bummer. This was going to be my first GT car but that's a tough pill to swallow. Might as well go buy a used Huracan at that price haha. (Kidding, please don't kill me.)
