the trackwrap works well enough. you need about a PC desktop tower sized roll to get 50% of a 911's impact zone covered. you need scissors to cut it. voila

My dealer loves that I do ED on all my cars. Being a small dealer they need inventory, so they appreciate the extra allocations.

Does anyone have a ppf installer local to zuffenhausen to recommend?

I’m trying to find a dealer for ED with no ADM. Would you mind sharing the dealer you use?

Here's a link to the shop that did mine. They're an Xpel shop and accommodated my schedule. It was a decent job but not stellar. They had a few GT level cars and AMG's in there at the time I had my old Carrera T done back in 2018:

thank you Randy, you mentioned they did it overnight right? I appreciate the info. Trakwrap sounds ok but I think I just want to know it’s done and not worry about it.

I recently did my ED and contacted that shop before I left. They were not able to get it done overnight but the costs were reasonable. I took a 12”x40ft roll of XPEL tracwrap. It works beautifully. Easily application and removal. Doesn’t look the best but it works well.

I’d recommend tracwrap and doing the full PPF stateside. I’m not sure an installer in the US would fix any issues should they occur if installed in Germany?

Not overnight but they did it within 24hrs. I took delivery, then drove down to the shop, dropped it off and took the train back to Stuttgart then picked it up the next afternoon. Spent that day walking around town and eating good German food.

Are you asking for a GT car with no ADM and ED? Not possible unless you have a good dealer relationship already or are willing to take a big bath on a trade in.

Not true. I know several guys who got that deal including me. No trade in either.

start with local dealer, make it known what you are trying to accomplish. Most dealers these days will only sell local regardless on new cars. But simply getting a GT allocation as a first time customer without an ADM is almost impossible. Would start hitting up local dealers for 992.2 GT3

My dealer will definitely do ED. However, ADM is very specific to individual customer relationships.

the key to all of this: allocation, adm, ed, etc is relationship. you really cannot expect to go get a steel daytona rolex the first day you walk into a store- you want these cars the reason everyone else does. the local stores have their own ways of sorting, we had to tell 20+ people they were not getting cars- the people who got the cars were simply further up the fantasy football points draftboard. if you've never bought a car and they have 10 guys who always buy cars- they will always get stuff first.
