Likely but I'm sure most cars will get most of their cost back. And I didn't really buy the car for that bit lol. For 34k that's a couple years track insurance

Interested in what specifically you changed after seeing the RS? And why?

I changed colors. The car showed very well in a light color, The contrast of light paint and black aero accents worked very well. Initially I had chosen Guards Red.

I went with the decal package and color wheels. Where originally I had silver wheels and no decal package. It just made the car feel more special to me. The GT3 beside it was plain.

After seeing the Weissach package in person, The Mag wheels are a thing of beauty with the cutouts, 17lbs saving in rotating mass, Paddles, CF sway bars and other bits on the bottom, the interior carbon trim and the fact we could now option a Weissach package with a painted in body color hood and roof, that did it for me. As well as the Porsche sticker on the back.

Basically changed the entire car around after spending a few hours with it. I just felt like it's a special car and needs to look special as well. I'm usually a subdued kind of guy.

Submitted today and everything was approved by Porsche so it's good to go!

No roll bar for US market and $34K

White green looks fresh, nice heritage combo.
It lost the white end plates, we’re gonna have to bring that back.
White zero option paint wheels mirror and copy decals green myself

If that was directed to me, I could really care less how many they make. If I was selfish I would want them to stop producing after mine but I hope everyone who wants one gets one. Of course at $100k adm

Did you select White or Ice Grey Met?

White for a couple reasons.

White is easier to paint match, Ice Grey Met would be damn near impossible.

Ice Gray Mettalic not worth the upcharge to me, I'd rather have a Bose system and a bunch of other cool little options.

The only downside to white....it turns a little yellow when PPF is applied. ....this will likely be the first white car in my Garage with PPF. I can't NOT do PPF.

In context, I think the RS is an awesome track focused weapon; sadly bumped from a buy spot, as would buy one in a second. That aside, I still find it very strange that Porsche have not offered cars for the usual road tests. Thoughts?

Why even bother? They don’t need any help selling them and they sure aren’t going to put out a bad product.

I reckon the car will be tolerable to get to/from the track if the roads aren't terrible, but was designed as a track car and wouldn't get good reviews as a road-only car, hence no official road tests allowed by Porsche. But we'll be getting plenty of road reviews from owners soon. With a car this track-focused, not necessarily unreasonable that it would be trailered for longer trips, and could still drive it locally on roads to get gas and take it to the shop.

What I look forward to are the track reviews, but we already know they'll be glowing. This car will be battling with race cars on slicks, not other street-legal cars. I hope you guys are ready for G-forces!
