I guess turn signals confuse Americans.
And on the same tracks, during actual races... windows up. Makes no sense.

Sure, I was just going through it another time, to make sure that I'll get the main content.
First of all I have to apologize for the guy who was presenting the car....
Not all Germans act and behave like that

Second, sorry for typing, spelling and grammatics, I'll try as hard as I can for a German...
OK, here we go.
He's telling us that the appearance of the car itself, when it arrives is just extraordinary.
When you see it in real life, not on the racetrack, but in regular traffic it stands out.
Everbody gives you the "thumbs up" and most of the other drivers can't work out for themselves what it is, what it does, what it would mean to go in a car like this.
The sheer looks of this agressive aero and especially the rear wing are "out of this world", hardly comprehensible for all other drivers surrounding it.

He took it to the German "Autobahn" (highway) and the damper setting he was using was in "track mode".
Even in track mode there is enough remaining comfort available. The GT3 RS doesn't rattle you.
It's far from being too hard or rough on the highway.
We can all be at ease and don't have to worry that the car wouldn't allow going to the track in it.
No problems at all with that. If you'd use the softer setting it can even be discribed as beeing comfortable.
He's overwelmed with the sharpness and turning of the car.
It's got peek precision and he has - although he has also been driving cars like 991.2 GT3RS and Ferrari 296 - never experienced a car with this precision.
It's the top of the tops. The absolute maximum he has ever experienced. From all sportscars that are available....... this it it.
It's a league of it's own. Totally different concept, totally different sensation over the other cars when driving it.
The downforce concept works extremly well.
After teasing the cameraman (who looses his headgear and couldn't keep the camera in position) with sharp turns and massive braking
he's talikng about the engine sounds. Even at high speeds it's clearly audible.
For an OPF engine (European market, your GT3 RS in the US should even sound more prominent)
the sound is just great and overpowers the noises of the wind clearly and remarkably.

We dont care about how it rides on autobahn. A Formula 1 car would also be tolerable (videos of them driving in autobahn is on youtube). How does the car ride in city? Over bad patches of road, railroad intersections, little bumps and manhoe covers here and there. Can it be driven like the 991 GT3RS was, i.e drive over the weekend for 50-60 miles for fun and come back home?
I am puzzled by the lack of media coverage on this more “real world” usage. Is it by design that Porsche carefully controls the reviewers OR is it so bad that people reviewing it dont even bother?
And for the love of god, someone please roll down the windows (both not just one) do a few back to back 9,000 rpm runs, then drive around casually at 35-40 mph and let us know the cabin temperature. It cannot be that hard to do these tests.
I for one am not interested at all in some completely unpractical car, regardless of how impressive it is on a track. I dont get paid for lap times.

At 16:50 in the video he finally takes the car to his "home turf".
It's sort of his home „track“ a to him very familiar road as reference how the car feels in comparison with all the other cars he'd been driving there.
At first he's toying with the traction control, setting it to "3" but then even decides to turn it off completely.
He's not only enjoying it, he's really extremly impressed by the way this car drives.
Even on smaller roads (canyon roads as you call them quite oftern here in the forum) it's not at all too hard or rough.
It follows your command very well. You think it, the GT3 RS does it. High precision tool !!!
The control of it is easy when you know what your doing, The handling is as sharp as it can be.
The mechanical grip works perfectly. This car is to him just the best you can currently imagine when thinking of sportscars.
As for the time set @ Nurburgring he believes that it wasn't the lowest time this 992 GT3 RS will set, as conditions were far from ideal and optimal.
He's sure that there'll be lower times set and he's looking forward to drive it on the NOS in the future, trying to do that.
He points out that everyone will love this car. Everone who's into this.
And everyone will give a fu..... **** that itdoesn't have a trunk.
________
(Remark from my side: it seems that Porsche has been reading this forum very well and they wanted him to point out this detail)
________
At the End he thanks Mr. Preuninger an his Team....
......for engineering simply the best sportcar there currently is on this planet. Terminate !
Hope I could be of help, greetings to all other future 992 GT3 RS owners.
In my opinion you did everything RIGHT !
Cheers Tom
