“The new 911 GT3 RS is even more optimised for track use than its predecessors. The spontaneously responsive, high-revving four-litre, six-cylinder boxer engine with approximately 500 PS has proven ideal for use at trackdays and club sport events,” says Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Model Line. “That's why we focused primarily on aerodynamics and chassis questions in the development of the new 911 GT3 RS.”
Looks like the 4.2 liter people are chatting about might go in the 50th anniversary RS…where it will sit in bubble wrap in some VVIP’s garage along with the Ark of the Covenant.

All rumors I’ve read say 50th Carrera RS gets 3.0 turbo. Maybe it goes into 911ST or some future special model (it’s also the 50th anniversary of the RSR).

I have read rumors also about 3.0t for 50th, Would be surprised to see 4.2 in ST or what ever its called and a smaller engine for the RS, what was the WP Gen 3 991.2 RS with ITBs 520bhp?, would be surprised if this new RS has zero bhp increase on this, even more so that its running 275s and 335s.

I’d be shocked if 992 RS has less than 530 PS (523 HP)

From what I can see only the rear wing opens and closes No there’s active aero, I think?
Took some video of the car there and a fly by.
It’s 3PM now and I hear it going around from my hotel room 😂
Tomorrow the track is closed and the record lap may be done tomorrow.
There is a timing allowed part of the day, not sure but heard some rumors.

Reeks of managing expectations. I don’t recall a pre-release of even approximate power going back to the 997? Would love to have more insight into product planning for future. Can anything be gleaned from the emissions data in the post?
