Ah, the tradition continues of pre-mature preference of the previous generation prior to full-release of the next-gen's .1 variant.

I'm sure by 992.2 you'll change your tune. Everyone always does.

This is so true and is more about self validation than anything else. I've seen this behavior on numerous products. A month ago, I bought a Glock 19 Gen 5. All the Gen 4 guys said it sucked. I could't tell the difference between the two. lol.

I think it's a combination of insecurity people have about something new possibly being better than what they have and a flawed nostalgic view that they don't make things as good as they used to.

I'm really looking forward to the 992 GT3RS. I hope it blows my 991.2 out of the water and gives me a reason to trade up.

My theory is those are older mules that used whatever early 992 bits they had. They look to me like the same vehicles seen at Monza a while ago. Maybe they're for long term powertrain testing? The recent GT3s at the Nürburgring look far more complete and sunroof-less as the car gods intended.

Nice front bumper. Terrible vents on the Frunk. Vents look like an afterthought. Touring better than winged. Nice diffuser.

I’ll buy if they clean up the Frunk.

There is a nice video of the car at a gas station posted in the 991 GT forum. It’s called 992 GT3 new vid.

Default Disguise

Looks like the matte black area around the S duct is just camo wrap...thinking it will look much better when it’s body colored

New double front vents are fine, and they are a change from the long-standing current GT front vent. AP will state that the new front vents provide some percentage more airflow to justify the change, same with new wing. Overall the new GT3 looks very good and more aggressive than either 991 version. The design is congruent with the Motorsport versions which is important.

Could not agree more - and this design of the front vent must have been planned for a long time - the regular 992 has a very large piece of plastic under the bonnet in front of the trunk - I doubt this will cost any luggage space but rather was engineered from the beginning...

Porsche has built zero Motorsport variants of the 992
