550 hp? Wow, that would be a pretty hefty bump from the 493 hp of the 991.2. I'd think perhaps 550 hp in the 992.1 GT3 RS, but 550 hp in the 992.1 GT3? For point of reference, the 991.2 Speedster had a whopping 9 hp more than the 991.2 GT3 (493 vs 502). The 991.1 GT3 had 469 hp. So, if the 992.1 GT3 has 550 hp, what does that mean for the GT3 RS? 575? 600?! From what I have read, the engineers at Porsche have squeezed just about every iota of horsepower out of the NA flat six engine. Add in the particulate filter (will it be in the EU only or worldwide?) which, from what I have read decreases horsepower and it will really be a tour de force for the GT department to offer a GT3 with 550 hp. All of that being said, I do not need one more hp than my 991.2 GT3T offers. I have taken my Touring to about 125-130 in 6th gear and the engine was egging me on to push it way, way further.

That front end looks very aggressive and wide. 991RS like turn in paired with a manual will be the golden ticket.

The GT3R wing mirrors should look nice with this, esp. the RS version. IMO,

This is just pure speculation by the journos IMO... hell one of them (autocar)?) actually speculated that the new GT3 engine would be derived from the 4.0L in the GT4 ... which is just plain ridiculous given the existence of the 991.2 engine in its latest guise in the Speedster!

I dont recall PAG ever releasing an RS at the same time or before the GT3 ... and since we've also seen the Touring ... this is most likely the GT3

It looks too much like a cross between a R8 and the classic 911 style. Enough with all the hard lines already IMO.

Every new generation the same spiel. Car "looks like absolute sh*t" before there's any photos of the final production car let alone before any customer saw it in real life and drove it... and soon after release the discussion shifts and the old model is outdated and the new can't be delivered soon enough and why is production so slow. Always talking in extremes.

In my personal opinion this still partially camouflaged development car looks totally fine. Just as the previous gen did. And the one before that, et cetera pp. They're all great cars in their own way. And I'm very happy that they're going into a more motorsport-influenced direction, that's what the GT3 is there for after all...

This. And every time there appears to be large cohort who do not distinguish between masking tape and final product along the way.

Agreed completely here. Im somewhat curious how they'll be able to do the above for this go-around, but hey, Porsche often somehow manages it most of the time!

I would expect to see some improvement in the 4.0L power etc, over and above that of the Speedster, and given what we can see the aero will also be significantly improved also ... not sure I know what the specs are on the 992 chassis w.r.t track width and CoG etc ... not too mention rubber, perhaps bigger boots?

I see an outline of a sunroof on the 992 Touring testing at Monza. No?
