911 and Profession
#136
The 992.2tt is the best car I’ve ever driven. I had to stop driving MT cars five years ago, this is the first time I don’t mind. It’s mind boggling. I don’t care about resale, it’s going to be traded on another Porsche- and not for some time. Not pts. The two major options are adaptive cruise and front axel lift (which I need for my driveway).

Engineer and High-Tech Exec.
Car ownership has been a serial progression for me. VW's to BMW's and Audi's to Porsche. Still like and have different brands, but haven't owned an American car since my 71 Charger in high school (I consider the Tesla my wife's car). I have had a 911 in the garage since 2015.

Sounds like me :-)
I have always dreamed of having a 911 in my garage, since I was a teenager, and its been a natural progression for me too. VW to Audi to Porsche with a BMW sprinkled in. Still own an A4 and S6, and an Alpina, which is technically a BMW.

59, also an environmental engineer. Self-employed since 2005. Worked as Senior Environmental Consultant for AIG for 15 years prior to that. Was pre-med through college, switched gears for grad school. Was a research scuba diver in the Antarctic. One thing I really enjoy about the Porsche community is that it attracts such a high percentage of engineers, tech people, docs, the sort of type I like to hang out with to be able to have fun and good conversation.

38 y/o corporate/finance attorney and war veteran; fiancé is a doctor. We moved from NYC to Houston recently, and biggest motivator for me was to have a car (which I hadn't had since my Army days ten years prior). Bought a 2013 911 from Porsche Austin basically online and had it delivered the day before I flew into Houston.
Btw, I really dislike Porsche Austin. I will definitely avoid them in the future. I didn't want my post to be any kind of plug for them.

I have a 2-door Wrangler and a Porsche at all times, have for years. Any time I need to "make a statement" that I'm a regular Joe (which I am, by the way, I just happen to have gotten lucky with a successful first business) I make sure to drive the Wrangler. Heck, I drive it at least half the time regardless -- it's every bit as fun as the Porsches, in a different way of course.
As for profession -- I don't have one. Sold a business two years ago and I'm still a part-time landlord, but have pared that down to 5 houses so it doesn't take much time. Not sure what I'll do next. Any suggestions?
