same for me 991.2 turbo s just got ppf installed, airbag light on. issue is that the installer disconnects the door panel air bags during install process. he did reconnect but it threw the light. dealer reset..

Light on the instrument cluster started popping up for me on my 2019 T. Any ideas on what to check before taking it into the dealer? (My local dealer service dept is a total PIA to deal with) Also, does the light mean the airbag won't deploy?

I suggest that you buy a basic OBD II Scan tool for Porsche. They are under $100 and can scan/reset most system Faults, and reset several DIY maintenance functions.... including resetting the Air Bag warning light.
Take a look at this Autel unit: AP200
If you are OK with spending a little more money Foxwell & Icarsoft make good units with additional function for Porsche.

Took the advice and got a Foxwell NT710. Looks like some issues with the seat sensor - see pic below. Any idea how to fix this, and of it's easy? I cleared the codes and they just popped back on.

@SF_ I've had an intermittent airbag light on my 2018 Carrera T. Dealer looked at it and simply wiped the fault. It comes on and off about once every 6 months for a few seconds. I may have them look at it again. I'm curious though, do you have the Carbon Fiber bucket seats? I have them and I read somewhere that the passenger seat sensor can be finicky. Any intel would be appreciated.

My light came on this morning - blinking away. No work done recently - 2019 T w/ 4 way seats as well. I recently cleared some fault codes with the icarsoft tool - sure hope it's not related to that. Additionally, my driver's side seat belt buckle assembly is rattling around a bit and I've a replacement on order... thinking, hoping, that when this is fixed I can clear any codes and be good to go.

Plugged the diagnostic tool in and I’m seeing 00802F and below it says "Active Control unit - locking not performed". Clearing it does nothing the light remains flashing. No obvious issues under the seats and all the other values in icarsoft appear normal from what I can tell. Bummer she’s just out of warranty - will be interesting to see what Fidelity covers.
