Lease Return - Registraion Payment
I'm hoping my friends on the board can help me.
I'm turning in my 3 year lease (today) 2 days before the lease is due. My wife accidentally paid the CA registration on the car 2 weeks ago even though we are not keeping the car. The new registration doesn't even start for 2 more days.
Does anybody know if this will qualify for a refund from the DMV? Obviously the normal process is turning in the car and then the dealer or I guess the next buyer would then be responsible for the registration.
