PDCC on a 2018 GTS: Yes or No?
I've got a doubt concerning my build. After discussing PDCC with another knowledgeable driver who just took delivery of his 2018 GTS and passed on PDCC, I wonder whether it is a buy.
I am planning on rear-wheel steering either way.
I am curious to hear your real-life experience with PDCC, and whether you'd include it in a DD build. My car will be a 7-speed Coupe. Thank you in advance!

PDCC allows the suspension to work independently when driving straight. So the ride is improved. If you have smooth roads then skip it. I have it on a 991.1 and a PGTS and would not go without it, for street driving. But It does keep the PGTS remarkly level in high speed turns at the track. Probably a bigger benefit for heavier vehicles.

I've had both and live in NJ and drive to NY. My current 991.2 doesn't have it... I don't miss it. Can I tell on an off ramp when being aggressive that the car is leaning a bit, yeah. I kinda like that feeling. Was the car flatter with it. Yes... I built a car for September delivery and it doesn't have it... but if $$ no object get it. Is it a must, I don't think so.

I found the ride quality, at least in my area, significantly better with the PDCC. I'd definitely get it again. And I love the flat-cornering sensation. It's the closest I'll get to feeling like Sebastian Vettel!

I have had PDCC on both the 991S's that I have owned (one PASM and the current one SPASM) and love it. Very comfortable ride and I like how flat it is in cornering in AX. Some folks don't like it (artificial feeling?) but YMMV. If I was ordering a car, I would spec PDCC.

I can feel my PDCC at work in the quick " left right left right etc" small radius rising / dipping S curves of the many mountain roads here in NorCal where my car is not being asked to lean and set itself for a long higher G higher speed sweeper as on a track
...it gives me a sensation of driving a lighter car with quicker flatter reverse direction transitions
and as others mention , PDCC effectively decouples the left and right side of susp vs std sway bars when driven purely straight ahead , so that my local pock- marked freeway ride is calm and smooth
my current RWD 2016 991 GTS cpe also has the lower -20mm SPASM susp but I noted an even greater effect of PDCC on my prior heavier AWD 2013 991 C4S cpe which had normal -10mm PASM susp
YMMV ...it is a desirable feature for MY driving / road conditions as reviewed ...if I lived where my spirited Sunday AM driving were not curvy and local straight highways/freeways are paved well -whether tracked or not - I would then skip it .

All very helpful. Thank you. Sounds like it may be a good feature for DD ride quality, although some don't miss it. I think the GTS with the SPASM will be pretty stiffly sprung, so I may consider PDCC. I'll drive 991's with and without when I "spec" the order later this month.

I have a 991.2 C4S with PDCC and SPASM and RAS and 20" wheels at 30/35. It's a daily driver typically in sport mode all the time. I only turn off the sport chassis button on the console if I am on a really bumpy road - and I can really tell the difference in those cases - but usually the ride is fine. I don't know how much the PASM contributes vs PDCC but given how much I have heard complaints on these forums about firmness and rough ride I suspect PDCC is making the ride smoother. Plus, the real benefit of all of these things is that the car is incredibly flat on the turns. A+++ will buy PDCC again.

PDCC on my GTS and did a 250 mile drive yesterday on motorways, twisties, on and off a car ferry, plus good and poor surfaces. Even the Mrs in the other seat remarked on the comfort and lack of drama.
I haven’t driven a GTS w/o PDCC to compare but mine rides better than a C4S I tried which didn’t have the option ticked.
Whether you think it’s worthwhile or not might depend on how you like sports cars: do you need to feel every bump in the road to get your money’s worth or do you like a bit of comfort to go with the performance? As both are meant to be improved by the option it was a no-brainer for me...
