I have cheap ebay cf blades, but I keep all of my car keys separate from each other and don't carry any other keys, so they don't bang against each other and stay fresh. The garage door opener is my house key and I don't need any other keys on a regular basis.

I have some $10 sides from Amazon. They're great. I think it's just a colored plastic so no paint scratching issues.
Glad I didn't bother to check that option as I don't think I'd be any happier with the OEM version and it would have cost... was it $600?
Strange that it's not a $195-$295 option as they'd sell a lot more of them at that price and it's basically all profit.

Just got mine off amazon... $9.99 and eligible for Prime. Plastic with color through so no chipping issues. And if it gets beat up the price makes them disposable and replaceable without pain.
