Default A silent 911?

Hi there guys.
I'm starting my research to find a car for my wife.
She wants a car that drives like my 991.1 but without the road/engine noise.
Any suggestions?
Would a Panamera work?

This but no PSE. About the quietest 911 I have ever experienced!

Where would you get 18" rims that fit? Just curious ...

991.2 with 19in rims, new tires (looking for quiet tires and plan to swap in all seasons or snow tires when mine comes in), and in a base C2 without PSE is very silent up to 3-4K rpm. Ok, so it is not as quiet as my jag (triple layer glass and all the vanden plas goodies and leather to tamp down the sound), but it is as quiet as any normal modern car.

I strongly dislike loud engine noises so this was a concern for me as well.

I bought a base 2017 Panamera that my wife uses primarily with the baby.

Its plenty fast with lots of torque and if she wants an exceptionally smooth ride opt for the adjustable air suspension. Being able to raise and lower the car with the push of a button is awesome. It's probably the smoothest car I've ever driven, and of course quiet. We do not have PSE on this.

I believe it will check all of your boxes.

We have a 991.2 and a macan s. I would say a macan gts would be best bet - I would say it is more fun in twisties than 911. The 911 performance threshold is so high that most twitsites are no drama and hustling a macan is fun.

Had a Panamera 4s for a year. Great car, great handling beautiful interior. I wanted more noise and wanted back in a 911 but my wife loved the car.

Panamera seems like the right call. It's very capable as a sports car esp. given its size/weight.

Thank you guys.
Macan is not an option. She doesn't like the look. Too tall.
Panamera is plan A.
I will check the 991.2 as well. Had no idea it could be a silent cruiser.
Thanks much.

BTW, is does not have to be a luxury car. She tried the Miata, for example. Loved the handling but hated the noise. The new Miata RF is indeed noisy. I was not impressed.

Doesn't really drive like a 911, but an Audi TTS might interest her. The TT RS gets too loud again. I also found the 991.2 with "small" wheels and new tires less annoying regarding noise than any other Porsche I drove so far.

Panamera will fit the bill.
