Default Anyone have the Carrera Sport Wheels in black?

$4200 all in as an option, but I am considering it and was hoping for pictures. If I could get the 50th wheels I would do it. I am going for a vintage look.

Thanks. Not sure how I missed that thread. They are a $4200 option to add them in black .... and they are 20in. But they look good. I wish they were like the 50th wheels to look like fuchs, but those have a different offset (and are $7950 for a set with tires through suncoast ....). Maybe I can find a used set (some how I end up with two sets of wheels for all my cars ... at least).

I was at the dealer the other day and saw a set in Platinum Satin on a GT Silver Targa 4S. I've done a 180 on these wheels - didn't like the look at all online, but think they looked really good on that Targa.

I agree Keadog. I saw them on an S at the showroom and was like grey centers don't work for me, "why can't those be painted like fuchs" and then was like "wait, the 50th has them like fuchs, the 1,000,000 has them in solid silver, and the configurator says you can get them in gloss black let's see what that is."

I much prefer 19in wheels but if I could get something that said "this is vintage" look, I would spring for 20in wheels.

I think I am going to look for a used set and send them to Harvey (he still around?) and have them refinished like true fuchs. Also, fuch seems to actually offer 19in Porsche wheels now (although the offsets I would need to see if they work on a 991.2).

If I'm reading my catalog correctly, the wheels in the picture I posted above are option XRU - "20-inch Sport Classic wheels" with option XDG - "Wheels painted in black (high-gloss) Exclusive" (footnoted "Only available in 20-inch 911 Turbo and 20-inch Sport Classic) along with option 446 "Wheel centers with full color Porsche crest"

I wasn't sure about them when I first saw the car but I have to admit they are growing on me after a couple of days owning it.

Sorry for bad photo. Only one on my phone.

These wheels are really nice. They tick all the boxes for me: black, with aluminum accents so the wheels not too black, easy to clean, classic 5 spoke look, great stance(the rears angle out from the center which accentuates the deep tire) and for 911.1 owners the offset plus 10mm spacer fills the wheel well so the tires are flush with the fender)

I can add more photos Monday

Yes and thank you.

There are three black patterns of these wheels. The 50th with the fuch style silver spokes "petals?", the turbo silver outer ring but with all black centers, and the current offering on the base/S of black with silver ring and silver trim on the petals.

They also came in all silver (on the 1,000,000th Porsche) and come with grey (I am sure there is a term for it) petals as an optional wheel on the base/S.

I thought seriously about the 50th wheels as well. They're my favorite Porsche wheel. As you mentioned, you need a wide body car to put them on (991.1 C4, GTS etc). As advertised, I don't think they fit any of the 991.2. But you might talk to a dealer or one of the Wheel specialists to see if that's a reality.

If you can make them fit, you may be able to sell the new wheels that come with your car, and use that to offset the cost.

I have the classic sport wheels on my 2015 Turbo. I did not like the 'silver' oem look, so I had them powder coated in satin black on my white car. They look terrific IMO.

I have these wheels. I've considered having them refinished in all black.
