Default PDK clutch smell

I have a base 2014 which I purchased CPO 18 months ago with 2k miles on it. It has 11k on it currently. Sometimes I have a slight smell of clutch is that normal. Car runs fine with no codes...Just wondering if I will have issues down the road...

There is no clutch smell with a PDK. It uses a multi-plate wet clutch, bathed in a special hydraulic fluid in a sealed chamber inside of the tranny.

StormRune,

I didnt realize it is bathed in fluid so that is good news to me.. I do smell something occasionally. If not PDK I am happy. Thanks again for info

It was a reasonable question if you are not familiar with how it is engineered and it's always good to pay heed to unusual smells coming from a car.

911s are known for engine smells, I'm on my third one so I've gotten used to some of them. The muffler and cat positions on the car make it more likely than some cars that the rear wheels will kick something up on them, get hot, then create a smell. After aggressive driving sometimes even little bits of rubber will get on the mufflers and create an odor.
