Does anyone know how long it typically takes from the time a car is listed as completed until it gets on a boat? My car was shown complete on 6/29, and there was a boat that left Emden for Davisville on 7/5. I'm trying to figure out whether my car could have made it onto that boat. Dealer doesn't have any info yet.
My SA just called me in the last hour to say that my car is arriving early :
The car was completed the last week of June and was shipped June 30th. (we could be on the same boat) It is on the "Athens Highway". The boat is scheduled to land in Halifax in 3 days (July 9th at 4pm)
This is quite a bit sooner than the predicted ETA ship delivery of August 4th and delivery to dealer by August 18th.
I am not sure how long it will take to get it from Halifax "Autoport" to the dealer... but it is only a 15 minute drive in heavy traffic!
Mine is being delivered to Davisville. My car was marked complete on 6/29 and the Athens Highway left Emden on 7/1. Would be impressed if mine made it onto that boat but fingers crossed!

Davisville... sorry I missed that in my excitement.
Mine was completed on the 26th and then had to have a CXX option installed. It was not suppose to be processed this fast. I'm obviously happy.
When I finally confirmed my order back ??, they denied my order and advised me that the car would have to be a 2018 model. I missed the deadline by a day! There were a number of changes, mostly infotainment, so I will be anxious to see the interior mods for model year 2018.
No doubt yours will be a 2018 as well. Hope you were able to squeak onto the ship with me. The good news is... last in - first out!

Which port is your car being delivered to?
mine missed the June 30th boat to Halifax. It was at port. Just didn't get on. Probably something about invoicing. Should hopefully be on Jul 10 boat.
But i I got a call this Afternoon that due to EPA wanting to do further testing with the 2018s they will be held 30 days. So any hopes of my delivery earlier than the aug 11 planned delivery are now dim.
I dont know if this applies to US deliveries too. I assume it does. Sorry. I would follow up with your SA

I was at the dealer today. GM said US deliveries for '18s are on hold due to "Emissions" ala the Panameras. Guess I'm glad my October order is a '17.
No it just means you're car is waiting for its ship. The ship is contracted by several car companies and othe vehicle manufacturers to deliver loads to specific US ports.
First, the entire load must arrive at the port of exit. This could take days.
Second, the vehicles are loaded with cars destined for the first port of call loaded last so they van be off loaded first. LOFO last on, first off.
