Default Ordered New Wheels

Hey everyone,

So after much deliberation on wheel options from HRE and others, through a friend I got connected with Brixton Forged.

The photo above is pretty much the exact setup I chose. WR3 targa in carbon bronze brushed spokes and carbon bronze polished stepped lip with floating spokes, and titanium hardware. I was really deliberating the HRE P101 but I wanted to be a bit different, and to find a finish similar to the GT2 magnesium wheels.

My friends wheels looked awesome on his car and had some different takes on the styles everyone seems to follow. They also had some nice details on their wheels that I didn't see elsewhere and I really like their finish options.

I just placed the order so it's going to be 6-7 weeks before they arrive but will follow up here when they do.

I thought I'd create this thread so that others can see what their choices are besides the usual suspects.

I'm thinking those will be quite the stunning choice! Of course we'll be looking forward to seeing you post photos of them on the car.
Congrats on making the call. I understand how tough it is... and the wait for them to arrive.

Thanks my friend.

It was your car that I kept going back and looking at that helped me decide I wanted to go full Monty rather than flow forged etc. I think the style of wheel is somewhat similar but different enough.

That's a beautiful wheel. Do you happen to know the weight of the wheels?

The monoblocks are roughly 19-20 lbs.

I wanted to go with some more detailed options so I went 3 piece, but used titanium hardware. These ended up being a bit heavier, but I made the concession to get a bit more style since my car is a daily driver.

Here's the monoblock version. Going 3 piece opens up more custom options and more concavity but if you do, use titanium hardware to save weight.

They also offer a 2 piece, as an in between.

I struggled with this, but chose style over most lightweight option. I couldn't resist those floating spokes and varying finishes!

Brixton makes nicer wheels than HRE in my opinion. Great choice. Qaulity wheels

Beautiful wheels! I really like the floating spokes but my practical side says, "They'll be a pain to clean".

beautiful wheel choice.

did you consider hidden hardware.

keeping the bolts clean will be a challenge

the floating spokes should not be too hard to clean with a small microfiber towel to run between them

Thanks for the compliment!Regarding the hardware, I did consider Hidden hardware for maintenance purposes. But when I spoke with Brixton I really like the look of the titanium bolts. What we opted to do as a nice in between his half hidden and half showing. It's my understanding that floating spokes actually make it easier to clean as debris will not accumulate as much. brixton has a whole explanation of these features on their website.

I'll update as I get more photos of the wheels in construction etc.

They finally arrived. I'll take some more photos in better light later on. They look a bit darker than I anticipated based on the photos I saw before but I think they look quite nice with the agate and vorsteiner carbon. The car came out quite aggressive looking. The wheels are super light and my guys at Trophy Performance said the wheels seemed to be if very high quality.

i recommend Brixton Forged to anyone looking at others like HRE but want something a little different.

i went with red center caps to accent my calipers and red marine corps veteran plate but I may have them do a Porsche crest later on. We'll see.

Yep, aggressive and razor sharp. Everything on your car is playing together really well including the wheel color and the carbon parts.

The Pilot 4S's are a great choice and the wheel offsets look just right. The ultra-thin spokes show off your calipers and rotors really nicely and the red center trim is a perfect finishing touch. Well done!

thanks!

im ashamed to admit I don't know the offsets. There are no spacers.

weights are low 20's up front and mid 20's out back.
