My favorite setup up was on my 2007 Mini Cooper S. in between the steering wheel at the 12:00 position is a tach with a digital speed read out. It told me everything I needed. All the fluff was on the center plate. With this setup I wouldn't want a HUD. I think an HUD would be helpful with my E90 M3 and 991.2
