What would you have done differently?

I wish I would have ordered the embossed Porsche logo on the headrest. Thought originally it was a waste of money, but after seeing it on different cars decided that I liked it and wish I would have ordered it. Also, it is one of the cheaper options.

For my current 991S? Not a thing.
I still haven't found another 991S or GTS that I like as much as mine (or as loaded as mine) with the exception of the Club Coupe, which would cost a LOT more than what I paid for mine.
If I could go back in time, I would have entered the lottery to try and buy one. At the time, though, I had been in my first 991S for less than a year and didn't want to change cars so quickly.

As some of you know, I traded my hand-spec'd, labored-over-the-configurator 2015 GTS (pic to left) last month. Several reasons:
-- As for what could have been changed about the order that MIGHT have made me keep it, one thing: 7M rather than PDK. Definitely don't want to derail this to a gearbox debate so I'll just say I loved the PDK and there's absolutely no way for it to be better than it is for me. Yeah, PDK-S is a little bit more of everything, and that's good as far as it goes. But if you are really a 3-pedal man, that's that. If my GTS had been more of a track or mountain twisties car PDK would have been a keeper for me. But for futzing around Atlanta, which comprises the bulk of my driving, I enjoy the manual H-pattern action more than the manual sequential action, which I used full-time on the PDK.
The rest of the regrets are simply 911-specific. I've had several in a row now, but my history is with smaller sportscars, from Porsche and elsewhere. As has been said many times, for some reason the 981s feel like their size delta with 991s is much greater than it actually is. I like that feel, both the way it handles and the way the cockpit is smaller and tighter. I left mid-engine Porsches in the last decade with a 996TT, thinking I'd "grown up" and wanted an "Executive Express" or some such reasoning. My Turbos were great, my Carreras have been great. But I think I was kidding myself when I fancied that I'd grown up...

Nothing. I just happened into my 991 as an out of state leftover odd build that nobody wanted. It was pure performance build, no luxury options. I thought I'd miss things, but 2 years on, I love the car and wouldn't do much of anything different if I speccd a new one. The only thing I would add to mine if I could was the Bose radio, so I'd get a sub. Other than that, the car is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. I did OptiCoat PP and I'd do that again. Oh, I also did the mirror winglets that the RLister used to make and they are amazing. I would never own a 911 again without putting those on straight away.
