Any data available on the average net worth of a 918 owner?

It's a dumb and misleading error message.
Must vary with model year. After having 4 replaced and losing another, I contacted PNA. Dealer replaced all 11, 90's, and hoses.

All resolved

I know a grand total of one 918 owner. He owned the company at which I use to work. I don't pretend to know how much money he has, but I'd guess that he is in the top .1%. He did tell me that the purchase of the 918 made him a Porsche VIP, which means that he is offered any new limited production Porsche for a period of ten years.

Ouch and Ouch.
Could be just awaiting a part. My 996 Turbo spent around 3 weeks on the lift awaiting a new transmission from Germany. Thankfully the new transmission was covered by the CPO warranty so there was no cost.

'course, the 918 could have a pretty long list of things done. Was at the dealer a month or so back to have something done and my favorite tech was busy on a 918, doing its 20K mile service. He told me he had about 60 hours of labor in the car.
