I often stop at Home Depot on the way home and pick up 6 - 40# bags of salt for our water softener. A couple of times I have had people staring when I open the "hood" and put the salt in there. I have told them that this is the newest technology car that runs on salt and you just add a little water. I tell them the only bi-product is a gel that can be used as a facial scrub.
One lady was Googling it as she walked away....
