HRE or Magnus Walker Outlaw
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some wheels soon.
I think like most everyone here, I've been lusting for HRE P101/R101. I've even thought of doing some more interesting color combos.
But I've also thought of doing an old school look and have found this wheel from fifteen52 outlaw, also forged available in monoblock or 3 piece.
HRE's cost more, but the outlaws are not far behind. Has anyone put these outlaw wheels on their 991?
car is a 2016 agate grey C4S. Don't want to do black or even wheels but wanna be different. Silver seems safe but two tone seems awesome. Some pics of wheels in question above.
im leaning toward HRE but what does everyone think of the not common yet outlaw wheels? It also seems if I ever get the itch to change cars, HRE's hold their value and have a trade program, where I'm not sure what the secondary market for the outlaws is. A minor issue, as I rarely buy things like this thinking of the "next owner" but to be considered. With these cars quality wheels seem to be a must, so I don't want to do anything lower quality than oem and with such an expense, I want to make sure the change is worth it. Thoughts?

Hey Johnny, it would be my pleasure to help you out and potentially earn your business.
From a styling standpoint this is a decision I think you'd have to make for yourself to ensure your happiness with the purchase. Do you want to go with the look that has been done so many times because of how perfect it is or do you want to be unique and different and go with the old-school look?
If you prioritize performance, quality, & re-sale value more than the styling then it's a no-brainer in favor of the HRE's.
Rotiform also offers a Fuchs inspired wheel called the FUC that is fully custom forged from T6 aluminum (like the HRE's) and are significantly less than the Outlaws.
Here are a couple of cool finishes you can do with the HRE's to be different:

Go HRE. I went HRE P101 in satin black and love them on my GR 991.2. Lightweight isn't much lighter and lip is a little different.

that said^^ and with your color combo, I'd go with the 52 outlaws in gold (if they come in 20's)...decision is ultimately yours. T

IMO: The HRE's. A little bit more of a modern look which compliments your car more. Again, my opinion only. I think the others work well on a more retro looking vehicle.
