So sorry to hear of your experience. I'm sure Porsche will make it right as this is clearly an outlier with a maker that values both its reputation and customer satisfaction.

Please stay in the Porsche Family

First, sorry you had to deal with this with any new car, and especially a "dream car" like the 991.

Second, I recommend you tell both your local dealer contacts and anyone at PCNA who will listen what you wrote above: "already decided no coupe in mean time I need a 4 door like a Macan since I can't actually pick up my parents in a 911 and perhaps buy the 911 again in future."

Third, be prepared for a counter offer. I know this is not quite the same, but years ago I bought a new Suburban from a local Chevy dealer. I went all out in the order: 3/4 ton, big block, top model, etc. But it had persistent brake problems that the dealer could not repair after several attempts. When I invoked the lemon law (in Texas) the dealer and GM countered with replacing essentially all brake system components. Although they claimed I was not being reasonable, I insisted on the buy-back, which they ultimately agreed to do.

Thanks, fuddman, for the response. As well as everyone else's. I know the Service Manager by name but more familiar with my usual Service Adviser but since I got time tomorrow think I'll drop in and speak with them. I was last told that the manager is also aware with my issue.

PCNA is aware since I have started a Investigation and a Senior CC Specialist (Area West) has talk to me once by phone since contacted PCNA through Twitter. I was informed they have all the service record of my car already.

I do know I just have terrible luck on first Porsche, but it's not the brand I lost trust in it's the car. Thank goodness the error messages & overheating issues happen when I'm on local streets. I heard of people getting stranded on highways and it's pretty bad during our SoCal summer where we can fry an egg on the car almost.

Definitely a buy back would be nice and I'm guessing probably the prepaid service plan and extra tire/wheel body dents paint warranty is not returnable.

Thank you.. already decided no coupe in mean time I need a 4 door like a Macan since I can't actually pick up my parents in a 911 and perhaps buy the 911 again in future.

Yes from doing a search and reading California is pretty straight forward.
Not sure about Porsche but I know BMW gave me a prorated return on my tire wheel and paint and dent protection plan when I traded in my M4. So u should check on that before u give up on that Money

If Porsche were to provide you with enough cash compensation, would you keep it?

You might want to think about that option and I'll tell you why.

If Porsche buys back that car from you as a lemon buyback, it will be worth zilch to them. Lemon cars are just not that attractive as a sales item. My guess is they would give you cash to keep you in it.

Remember, if you were to get it fixed and keep it , it would still be under factory warranty and it would not be classified as a lemon. Although, CARFAX would still record your problems, for sure.

How much do you want to stay in it? $20k, $30K, $50K.
Make an offer, if you're inclined.

Too many things to remember but it wouldn't hurt to inquire if the warranty protection for tires wheel paint and dent can be reimbursed somehow too.

I'm not even aware if that is even an option. Not sure how feasible it is for PCNA to pay me to keep the car. If given option it would make me pause and think how much it takes for me to keep car.

Only thing is it would still leave a cloud over my head not knowing if other issues will crop up in future. I mean Saturday's coolant leak detection was the fastest I've encounter an issue after picking up car within 2 hours notice the leak when I parked. And I can't remember how long is manufacturer warranty 4 years? 5?

Good luck. I've done this 2x on our Macan Turbo in the past 2.5 years. CA law is 30 days in the shop for the same problem within 18 months or 18K miles - meet that and PCNA will work a deal to buy it rather than get lawyers involved.

Sadly I tried to Lemon Law our second Macan too but it was at 20K miles. OT but that car has too many large system issues.

Sorry to hear about you having to try doing it twice with Macan Turbo. PCNA last week told me I think that it isn't same problem but it's all related to the water cool system issue. Plus I haven't even broken 3000 miles.
That's good to know they rather not get lawyers involved but it does make me wary on next choice of car.

I might have missed this...... but why did it take them that long to fix and or replace stuff?

Part availability or lack of knowledge on how to fix something?

Ordered parts usually take 48 hours to reach the dealerships.

Sorry to hear and see this.

As many said - not sure if it will qualify under lemon law - though I think a LL Lawyer should be consulted. Make sure they have experience with Porsche. From what I understand, the most profitable car company out there - makes it difficult to reach a fair agreement in cases like this.

Let's not forget this...

This lead to this......

Not apparently according to my PCNA contact. Parts for all 3 extended repairs are always ONLY available back in Germany. I don't know why there are no spare parts in USA. So each time it took 7-10 business days for parts to come in, and I get informed by my service rep each time when parts have arrived.

It's always been delayed due to Backorder, I wonder if it's been like that for 991.2 ?

@Bradley Scott
Yes! I found Nick's youtube post and first thing is that could just be the worst possible result dealing with PCNA on a buy back. He certainly has a lot more issues since he actually drove more than I did in first 6 months. Plus he does vlogs for his cars and perhaps more spirited in driving than I am.

I got the BBB involved before contacting a lawyer when I had my A4 convertible bought back. BBB mediated and I got everything back, including pre-paid service plan.

BBB is a way to show your serious without getting lawyers involved

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I went through a lemon law buyback with BMW years ago. As noted, they don't want a "lemon" branded car, so they will likely work out something to buy it back without going to court with you. Be reasonable but firm, and hopefully they will treat you well.

After holding the car over night it was determine the coolant leak was actually from the coolant overflow pipe that dump out extra coolant. Apparently they added a little too much from repairs last week.

Thanks all for advice will update how this goes and did talk to my dealer's service manager who's aware of the issue. He says he'll help me with how to proceed. I will definitely stay firm on my stance.

I was invited to see where the coolant was coming out from.
The Red Circle shows the coolant overflow tube which expels excess coolant I was told.
Thus causing the dried coolant marks on the parts below - I'm not sure what they are called.

Happy July 4th to all!
Just enjoying a nice July 4th Weekend.

PCNA has been patient and listen to my side of story and they are in midst of doing the investigation part which will take 7-10 days but will just have to wait for judgment to see what they decide. Otherwise nothing else to update.
