When I was 8 I used a wax crayon on my Schwinn Corvette wheels.

I was more into sound, so I tied balloons to the front and rear wheel spokes. Decades later I ordered PSE, which just goes to show that the only difference between a kid and an adult is the price of their toys.

Well, maybe lettering's appropriate with... ummm... gold 21s. I'll grant you that.

You guys do know that there's tire lettering on just about every race Porsche out there, right? So, it's more a racer look than a bling blang look. Granted, it's not for everyone, but it's a racy look. Hence why I think it only looks right on the GT/Supercar set or a heavily modified Carrera.

I'm waiting for someone to create a post asking about whether it's in good taste to have your interior trim painted the same color as the outside of your car...

^^ Wouldn't have been my choice -- not because it's in poor taste but just because I like some of the other options better -- but everything else was right about the car.

If it had come with tire letters, though, I'd have had to pass on it. Or maybe have the dealer pull the tires and remount with letters on the inside, like I did with the Goodyear Polyglas Radials on my Camaro when I was 16. See, I even had good taste back then! (Okay, maybe the Camaro calls that statement into question.)

There are lots of things on Porsche racecars that would be in poor taste to put on a street car. Tire lettering is just the one we happen to be discussing right now.

All of this coming from a guy who need stickers on his toolbox to tell him where to put his wrenches.

I'm mercenary. So I'd be happy to advertise a tire brand if they gave me a 50% discount on the price of the tires. I didn't even use the dealer supplied rear license plate frame since the dealership name is stamped in bold letters on top of the frame. Again I'd be happy to advertise the dealership, but the price would be higher than a $10 license plate frame.

I'd do it. But as the cherry on top. Need more work done. I guess your stick should proportionately always be bigger than your walk is quiet. You get tire letter, you had better come correct.

After full cargraphic exhaust, tune, DSC, aerocup wing, etc... I'll celebrate with tire lettering!

I like them both, but I don't see putting them on my tires any time soon.
Seriously? Everyone knows stickers add HP
