Will this swap void any warranty? Or cause any warranty issues?

Porsche PIWIS system can’t detect new steering wheel installed,it’s easy swap back.

I have a 991.2 with the standard wheel. What do I need to do to convert it to the multifunction wheel?

Ah, great. Good to know... no additional hardware needed. I can take it the dealer and they can install and code.

Is Suncoast the best place to get the wheel?

Call up sunset porsche. THey have the best prices. Ebay tends to be more expensive. The only downside with ordering through a dealer is the lead time and they might not have the exact one you might want. If you want a configuration that the dealer doesn't offer, eBay is your only shot. It's usually the guys in Germany or Poland that have the "unique" configurations.

PM me if you have trouble sourcing your steering wheel. I bought mine not through Suncoast for various reasons, mostly due to Suncoast themselves. Anyway, I can hook you up with the person I bought from. I got exactly what I wanted, brand new, lower price than Suncoast, and within days of ordering. Manufacturing date on steering wheel and airbag were less than three months and both were in unopened original Porsche packaging.

Yes and can I use one on a GT3? I want the wood multifunction wheel.

One other question, can you swap the buttons out of a non-multifunction wheel into a multifunction wheel and vice versa? I don’t really need the MF functions, but I want the wood wheel so if I can’t make it work then I could trade the MF bits for someone with a non-MF wheel’s bits.

Current generation porsche steering wheel are modular design, can building various styles if you can found the pieces of parts, and there are some rules about combinations.
You can remove multifunction buttons, but there are two holes need cover. Multifunction buttons works with electronic box in steering wheel........

Good to know, thanks! So will all of the other buttons work prior to coding? As I stated earlier, I have a 991.2 with the base wheel and I'm upgrading to the multifunctional wheel.
