SOUL PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS - A company built by enthusiasts for enthusiasts
Welcome to our thread and thank you for joining us here, on this journey. We write to you from a new company called Soul Performance Products, a name that you may not yet know, but you will.
Background: Started by a team of professionals with over 25+ years of combined experience in the aftermarket exhaust industry, we set out to create a company where the initial sale represents only the start of our relationship with the customer. Using our experience has allowed us to shape the business from the ground up and implement an unwavering code of conduct, industry leading warranties and customer service that will redefine all expectations. After isolating the core values of what makes a great company and cementing them as the foundation of which to build on, we were then able to focus our full attention on the product. Through many months of market evaluation, testing and implementation, we are very proud to introduce them to Rennlist first.
Industry Leading Warranty: Our components are covered by a limited lifetime warranty which includes both street AND track usage. In fact, please take our system to the track and punish it! If you are able to isolate any weak links we will not only be eager to resolve your immediate concern, but to use the knowledge you have provided to improve our products further. All of our components using HJS catalytic converters are backed by a three year warranty(unless used with race fuel/fuel additive).
I cannot possibly put every detail of the company into this initial post without it being quite long but I am eager to answer your specific questions if you post them in this thread or by PM/Email.
Why our 991.1 Valved Exhaust stands out: During our market research we quickly realized a design flaw in many companies valved center exhaust for the 991. With many of the valved x-pipes available, when the valves open a only a small portion of the exhaust gas and sound is able to pass through the unrestricted outlet. With this design, the side mufflers are not blocked off and are in the direction that the exhaust gases are already moving... you can see where this is going. With the dump tube being a sharp turn and the stock side mufflers being a straight shot - the exhaust gases take the path with the least resistance and the majority still passes through the factory side muffler, even with the valves opened!
The Soul Performance Products X-pipe is different. With the valves in the closed (quiet) position, 100% of exhaust gas is re-directed to the side mufflers creating a sound that is very close to stock. However, when you open the valves... Instead of just opening up a "hole" to let more more sound out, the flow is actually re-directed to pass straight through the exhaust and out the tips. The exhaust gases would need to cross sides and/or make a sharp turn to reach the stock side mufflers and as you will hear in the video below, the desired effect is nothing short of extraordinary.
Without and further ado, feast your eyes and ears on Soul Performance Products 991.1 Carrera Valved Exhaust System, Competition Headers and a variety of other photos! *Note: This product does not fit base model cars unless they are equipped with PSE

I have been running the Soul Performance Products exhaust on my 991 for just over 2 weeks now and I cannot say enough great things about the product, team and performance. I saw a small post on a Facebook group and since they were local decided to check them out in person.
The team is very knowledgable about the products, but also the vehicles. Each design is carefully thought out to maximize the performance without sacrificing quality. The 991 exhaust uses the original factory side mufflers to remain almost the same as factory, but when you open the valves the sound is incredible and you can feel the difference. The quality of the exhaust systems is incredible and truly needs to be seen. The welds and finish make this look like a show exhaust but its truly meant to be pushed to the limit.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any personal questions but don't hesitate to ask the guys from Soul Performance Products as well.

Your machine work looks considerably better than fabspeed and others. What metal/steel do you use for construction?
I am looking to replace my 991.2 center can with a slip-on and considering Akra and now probably you guys if you have a 991.2 non-PSE product in pipeline.

Super excited, my exhaust arrives Monday, trying to get an install setup right now. Really loved what John had to say about the development and thought that went into the Soul system. Also very appreciative of the time to talk me through the development and then ship my system out super fast. I will post as detailed a review as i can, not sure I can get the day off for install pics but will try. Cant wait !!!

Another member and I were discussing your product offline and on paper it looks very nice and your philosophy sounds good. One thing that would be helpful from our point of view is if you could post some before/after clips of the same car recorded with the same microphones under the same conditions... and not just sitting still, but under load... standing starts and such. I can't find any on your website either. Some other vendors have good examples of this with back-to-back comparisons that allow use to better judge the change in tone reasonably well. Just a suggestion.
I'd be curious as to how you are blocking off the side muffler path since the butterfly seems to have no hookup to the canister where the cutoff would have to be. I would guess there is a valve in the bulged area that opens the pipe to the stock mufflers once back pressure from the "loud" butterfly path increases due to the valve closing. Similarly that valve closes over the side muffler path when there is no back pressure. I understand if you want to keep this a trade secret though.
Thank you for an additional info you can provide!
