Now what was i talking about?

Oh yeah, the car makers
are waging a proxy war on each
other thru YouTube and Instagram.

So if Macca has a MrJWW 720s video
that gets 1M views, Porsche can't
just stand idly by!

That's why Shmee and MrJWW
and YouTube car "mags" are the places
to launch.

But I do agree it's odd, seeing
such an ugly prototype as the
"launch vehicle"
It's not a launch vehicle. It's a pre-production prototype. The manufacturers allow ride along in these to build buzz. No journo driving allowed sometimes, sometimes it is (M5). Then the car is officially revealed at a motor show, followed by real test drives.

What gets me is that the first test drives are so rushed to publish, that each of them is a recitation of the press pack / stays, followed by about 1.5 paragraphs of baloney "what's it like to drive" impressions.

Just listened to the linked video. "Andreas Pre-yune-in-jer"? "Porsch nine-hundred-eleven?" While I don't go around correcting regular peeps who mispronounce something in the Porsche world, fer cryin' out loud, a journo who sat in the car next to friggin Preuninger ought to at least take a stab at pronouncing a couple of syllables of his name correctly.

No need to hear about it. I belong to the BMWCCA club and get the monthly magazine. YoY sales in the US are down 11%.

I do believe that the TT motor has a lot to do with the decline of 911 sales as well.

Mainly because this is a computer generated voiceover
