Hey Eduardo, thanks for clarifying the Viper/Emerald green confusion on my part
I have seen older cars painted 'Emerald' then later ones in 'Viper' and, I guess, due to lighting showing them as looking a bit different, I assumed they were not the same color. Confusing though when colors are re-named, eh!

Thanks for your note. Yes, it is indeed confusing
when Porsche's marketing dept doesn't keep it
straight over time when translating the German
color names into English! I was recently contacted
via PM by the seller of a 'SternRubin' 964 RS in
Rennlist classifieds. He had listed it as the color
'Ruby Star' and someone said it should be called
'Rubystone Red'. So he wanted me to help clear
up the confusion...which I tried to do!
According to the most recent PTS list that I have seen, both British Racing Green and Irish Green are approved for the 911. I nearly ordered BRG which I prefer because it is a little bit richer looking to my eye. I didn't and am still wondering if I made a mistake.
If you Google Porsche British Racing Green you will get pictures of quite a few 911s in that color -- as you also will if you substitute Irish Green in you your search string.
I have seen Porsche Racing Green in person and I was unimpressed. I'd go with either BRG or Irish.
