Default Picked up a CPO 2017 991.2 C4S

Been P car-less for a bit after I sold my Turbo. The TT was the fastest car I ever owned, but it was numb and dare I say a bit boring... but I did love it... but I was buying a house and the money was better spent elsewhere.

Fast forward a year or so I was back in the market... I prefer to lease cars for various reasons (prefer not to debate this) and was shocked at the lease prices offered on the 991.2. The residuals combined with the MRM and cost of the new cars lead to crazy prices...I'm talking 1800+ for a C2S or C4S with a decent build even with a decent discount plus a few bucks down. Not going to happen. Mostly because I am not ready to part with my Cayenne TTS (loaded 2014)...

So I was looking at CPO 2013-2016 cars and to be honest, the prices are high on these cars...(check out HFS thread).

Anyway a dealer not too far away had a lightly used C4S with a MSRP of 131,940 which has almost everything I wanted...

I had a 2013 C4S that I leased and drove it to the full term (which is very rare for me) and 20K miles. Loved that car but thought it could use a bit more torque.

I've put about 250 miles on the new car and this car is fast! Don't want to debate the N/A v turbo, but I love the power delivery on this car. Linear and tons of it! Plus can wind it out almost as much as the old one... clearly not as much but still 7K plus is a great sound track (for me). I used to turn off the PSE at times on the old car.. (am I getting old?? 44 in July, you decide)

Anyway, was able to lease it, 3K down 14XX per month which works for me.. Got it for under 110K.

Differences between my old 2013 and 2017 both C4S' as follows:

-Old car had PDCC, this car does not. TBH, as a semi DD, don't miss this at all. I'll track a bit so maybe it will be more of a difference at a later date.

-Old car had 18 way seats, this has 14 way. Still trying to find the most comfy setting, but the back/shoulders very comfortable.

Old car had Premium Package Plus, this has Premium Package (no plus).

- Entry and drive. I do miss this.
- Old car had xenon's so this is a push (LED's weren't park of the package in 2013)
-Interior lighting - was cool, but no biggie.

Anyway, love the new car and driving to NYC at least for days a week, a TT or TTS is total overkill. I drive my cars cause either way they go down in value with the market. In fact, it was raining this AM and I took the 911! No clear bra or anything..

Congrats! I recently picked up a similar vehicle in white. How many miles did it have when you picked it up?

Good buy - what color black is the car? Is it metallic?

^ thanks guys! Car had 4K miles when I got it... it's the "regular" black i.e. not metallic.

It looks good. My new to me CPO 991.2 4S had a few extra features and 1800 more miles for about 4K more. I think we both got pretty good deals on our cars. Enjoy in good health!

I think so too.. some of the CPO prices for low mileage 17's were barely under MSRP and sitting. I would call up and they would be like "it's a great deal, we don't discount new models"... ya, okay, good luck with that.

Enjoy your's as well!

Congrats, you really are not missing anything important. You've got a very realistic outlook for what you need for daily use.

When I was shopping a couple of months ago, the SA at Paul Miller in NJ told me about a very similar car. Same color, same wheels. For some reason I just couldn't pull the trigger on it. Glad you got it...its gorgeous.

^ Thank you! For my use, heated steering wheel and vented seats were must haves.... plus at a minimum Bose for stereo which I think is improved over the .1

911's are so noisy that Bose works for me...
