if you use good quality film, like xpel suntek llumar they last a long time, longer that I have kept a car. chances are it is a cheap product that yellows in a couple years

peel the rear 1/4 film off, and theres only paint under it. you can have those cut in regular clear bra also

If it's installed by someone that knows what they are doing. There are ways of altering how much "bite" the adhesive has. In this case, you want the film on the car to bite harder in that fender area than the "factory piece" second layer.

Its a good idea to get those replaced about every five or six years while they can still be safely removed in one piece.
