Default Question for those who've had their exhaust tips ceramic or powder coated...

Did you drive your car with the tips off? Local guy doing a black ceramic coating on mine needs about a week and brought up the possibility that driving without the exhaust tips might warp the plastic trim around the exhaust.

I did not drive mine without the tips. I would recommend you not drive it, too.

+1 on the above. Also do not get them powder coated, it will peel off.

Totally Agree on that! I Powder Coated and only lasted so long until it peels.

powdercoat is fine if done right. I own a powdercoating shop and did mine 4 months ago and its holding up just fine.

If it peeled off, it was not fully cured.

Wouldn't recommend no tips as others have said, but as an alternative, the Stock exhaust tips fit on the PSE pipes, but do not seal completely. On a single pipe on each side, there is roughly a 1/4" gap that would be exposed to exhaust if you ran the car while waiting for the PSE ceramic coated tips to arrive. I ran like this for a week with no problem.

This.

Also - you will literally melt your bumper if you drive around with no tips. Better to get some ebay tips for interim.

Update- mine look just like randr's above. Drove it for 10 days without the tips, no issues with surrounding plastic which surrounds the exhaust pipes. Black lettering (suncoast) and black license plate frame with ceramic coated tips looks so much better than the chrome before. Highly recommend
