Default 14 way to 18 way seats

So one of my compromises was getting the 14 way sport seat in my C2 instead of the 18 way sport plus. I now wish this would have been on my "must have" list. My car is full leather, Luxor beige, with heated and ventilated seats (premium package plus so all the memory features).

I know the seats are really a matter of what fits best so I know some prefer the sport seat over the sport plus. Can someone confirm the connectors are the same and that a swap to 18 way sport plus is easy?

Anyone out there with similar 18 way sport plus that would be interested in swapping?

What are your problems with the 14 way seats?

I think it's gonna cost you a mint to find a set of 18 ways.

As far as too narrow in the shoulder, it's not really too narrow for you per se, as the 14 ways are not designed for you to sink in like the 18 ways or the 4 way sport seats. You sit 'on' the 14 ways and 'in' the 18 ways. The 14s are not designed for anyone's shoulders to fit 'in' the upper portion of the seat.

Actually, they are too narrow. In or on doesn't come into play. The top part of the seat hits me on my shoulder blade area and on long drives causes discomfort. I've tested in my buddies GTS with the sport plus seats and they don't ride against my shoulders in the same place/manner.

As to a mint or not, there have been posts from others in the past requesting such a swap. I know it's a long shot but that's part of what RL is about.

I do think the 18 ways hold you in better. In the mountains I work those bolsters.

.
What I'm saying is that the 14 ways fit everyone that way. That's the way they're designed. Your shoulder blades are not supposed to slide between the upper seat wings/bolsters. Your back lays against them. I don't care for it either, but it's not because our shoulders are too wide. The sports plus seats are shaped entirely different.

I never said I thought my shoulders were supposed to fit between them. My 5 year old nephews shoulders wouldn't fit between them. However, they are too narrow at the top for the size of my shoulders. It places the back of the seat at the inner portion of my shoulder blades where the blade rotates and it causes discomfort. Now I would find it very hard to believe that Porsche designed a seat that fits everyone this way as you would be stating that Porsche designed a seat that causes everyone discomfort. When in fact there are those on RL that state they prefer and even like the 14 ways. I think you're trying to prove a point that doesn't exist and all I really posted for was to see if anyone would be up for a swap.

Well the 14 ways on my CS fit me exactly like this, though discomfort was not how I'd describe it. Fit my son the exact same way and he's skinny as a rail. Most people feel the same thing you do, though don't find it painful, per se. Perhaps you have sensitive shoulders. I tried to do a seat swap in a car 2 years ago and it was a fruitless effort. Nobody would give up the good seats in trade and they were ridiculously expensive, even used - and I only found one set anywhere.
