It's called "Das Schild" and is available from Amazon and several other vendors (including the manufacturer) online. I have had them in my 2006 Cayman and my 2010 C4S. They are very easy to install, lightweight, and do the job of protecting the aluminum hood from being dented from inside by over-tall items in the frunk. I seem to recall that I got my first one via a group buy on a Rennlist forum (probably for the Cayman.)

I have a 2018 C4 on order and the first thing that I did after Porsche confirmed the order (PTS was an issue), was to order a Schild for my new car. I believe that the price I paid was higher than the price that Suncoast is currently charging.

I can get two carts worth in my 993 cab not including the frunk (which has spares and such in it) and with both front seats still useable.

I hauled roof shingles in my lotus. Took out the passenger seat and stacked them almost to the roof.

911 is a great grocery getter. Between frunk and back seats, you can pack a lot of grocery. There are several Krogers that I can get to via reasonably fun roads, albeit not the closest, that have very large parking lots...T

Balloons for my sister-in-law's birthday. Difficult to get in, more difficult to get out...

Looks like a homeless person lives back there.

After I ran over a nail in my 991, I brought the tire over to the gas station to refill it in my early 911. It fits.

For those who have seen me in person, that is an apt description of my appearance as well.

Haha, love it. I'll exercise mine on backroads for a good while, then immediately turn it into a grocer getter right after quite often. It's actually got pretty great storage space overall, but if you have a ton of bags, you're gonna have to start playing chess with where you put stuff. So far, I usually can fit everything into my already pretty full frunk, but I've had to use the rear seats on a few occasions. I bought a vacuum once (it was a 991.2 model..... I kid, I kid ), and it was the only time so far that I've had to put the rear seats down. Yet pleasantly surprisingly, it fit well.

The Mrs and me love filling up the frunk with groceries. She is amazed at how the frunk can take a full grocery cart of stuff. Best thing is, she hates knowing the 911 is in the parking lot unattended. So she gets the shopping done quickly.

Ha, same thing happened to my wife. She was at a grocery store and loading stuff and a store clerk ran out thinking something was wrong.

Holy carp! You may have discovered the secret of getting our wives to hurry the heck on up while out shopping in those rare instances we can't think of an excuse not to go with them!
