You will be fine w 2 ALP sensors in the front. Place them on the inside edge of the middle air intake with the license plate in the middle. LEOs aim for the plate for a flat reflective surface. F150s have a larger flatter front so more diffusers are needed.

I personally got rear diffusers that are placed under the top ledge in the upper right and left corners. That said, there are split opinions on their effective use since LEOs tend to hit you from the front and not on the rear as you drive away. I choose to get them after reading a few posts on radarforum about CHIPs hitting CA drivers from the rear.

I run ALP and the Bell STIR with x and k bands off and KA turned off except for the 3 or 4 KA bands that CA LEOs use. It's quiet until there is a threat. No false alarms.

Display is mounted inside the rear view and controls are hidden in the smokers package ashtray. 2 led alert lights are installed in the dash above the rpm gauge. Very stealth.

I'm sorry, I should clarify. I meant with the new Escort system is three sensors in the front possible? It seems like the majority of those with the ALP have 3.
I'm a belt and suspenders type of guy, especially if I'm going to invest in something to protect me.

The deal is the newest guns require 3 ALP sensors on the front.

Escort's configuration is designed for 2 sensors only front and rear and they claim their setup can reliably jam the same new guns. However we haven't seen any proof. Once it hits the streets I'm sure someone will test it.

What is the name of the new guns that LEOs are using that requires three front sensors? With that logic you would also need three on the back? 3 seems like overkill on a 911.

On the ALP system, three heads are required to defeat the "Dragon Eye" series of laser guns. Those guns are random pulse rate and the algorithm they use to acquire speed changes every time you pull the trigger. The new Escort system is supposed to need only dual to defeat Dragon Eye, and supposedly does a bette job than the three ALP heads. There's a hint that Escort will release the ability to add more heads only for a physical coverage standpoint.

Ideally, you don't want your jammers to be more than 24-30" apart, so there are times that three on a 911 makes sense – like the Aero front bumper. You cant fit the heads into the small vents, so you either need to put one in each out opening(which puts them way too far apart) or both in the venter opening which leaves you uncovered at the far left and right of the car. Three there is ideal.

I think that's the only way to go with all things countermeasure.

Thinking you're protected while you're not is a lot worse than not being protected altogether.
