I'm about to take delivery of a CPO'd 991.2 C4S. I'm so very stoked. It'll be my first Porsche. I'm coming from a 2010 E90 M3.
My my question is how many are using there vehicles as dailies? I plan on making mine, although my annual commuter mileage is ~2000. If these are everyday sports cars, why not make them such. These aren't collectibles like the GT R.

My 911 just won't meet my needs for daily utility. I need something for an active 10 year old + wife and spend a lot of time on the highway where I need something quiet enough for [bluetooth] conference calls.
Congrats on your new car!

I daily drive mine. I toss on snows in the winter and on all but perhaps 2 days each winter when the snowfall is too much to make clearance an issue, she works like a charm... she's a blast to drive in the snow. I figure its depreciating in value whether I use it or not, so my *** might as well be in the seat enjoying it every day.
I too have a short commute to work...but I must say, on most days, I find myself taking the long way to work and back just to log a few more miles and smiles.

I daily drive mine and also take it on trips. I probably do around 4k miles a year.
I also put winter tires on and drive it year 'round. If it gets really nasty out, I take my SUV instead, though.

Mine is a garage queen most of the time. I drive it on weekends and trips. I have a 7500 mile/ year lease and will probably do around 5000 miles this year which included a 2K mile road trip. I commute using human power. If we buy the car at lease end that will probably coincide with retirement so annual miles will probably go way up then. But that is still two years away. No reason the 911 can't be used as an every day car though.

Mine is a sunny day toy. Not a daily driver. But I still manage to accumulate +10,000 miles per year from April till mid October. Then winter hibernation. I drive my Porsche more miles in 1 day per week than +90% of Porsche owners do that daily drive.

Bought the RS in February new. Now has 4200 miles, two oil changes and is close to needing brakes. Drive it all the time! Too expensive to let sit.

I daily mine, and my annual commute mileage is the same. It's a great car for the job.

Daily driver here but being retired I have no habitual commute. I do, however, look for any excuse at all to leave the house. I bought my .2 C2S 7M in mid January and have added 2,600 miles to the clock. I will use it for short vacations and weekend trips. I typically go to the beach for 2-3 weeks several times a year (complete with golf clubs, tennis rackets, beer cooler and fishing pole), and the 911 just doesn't work out so well.
The 991 really is a surprisingly comfortable, somewhat noisy car that is a hoot to drive. I have even mastered the ingress/egress quite well after back surgery, two shoulder surgeries, 225 lbs and 67 years.
It definitely is a keeper.

I daily my c2. In my 4 months of ownership, I've put over 7200 miles. I have 70 miles of commute to/from work. And I also carpool kids to school about twice a week. I figure if I'm driving this much, why not do it in a pcar.

I daily mine, for about 5 months it was seeing ~500 miles a week. New projects in other locations have turned the car into a bit of a garage queen since but, I am not afraid to run up the miles.

Daily driver, grocery hauler, auto-crosser, veterinarian shuttle, home improvement runner, track car. Works fabulous for all.
She also cleans up pretty for nights out on the town.
