Daily vs non-daily 911's

Three Wheelin'
I daily drive mine. I toss on snows in the winter and on all but perhaps 2 days each winter when the snowfall is too much to make clearance an issue, she works like a charm... she's a blast to drive in the snow. I figure its depreciating in value whether I use it or not, so my *** might as well be in the seat enjoying it every day.
I too have a short commute to work...but I must say, on most days, I find myself taking the long way to work and back just to log a few more miles and smiles.

I daily drive mine 65 miles RT, and its almost all highway miles. Around Charlotte, 485 might as well be an oval track with the highway speeds. I get about 20K miles on rear tires and 40K on fronts. The weather is pretty mild, but that one time per year that Charlotte gets a half inch of snow I leave the C4S at home.

Mine is somewhat a DD if I had to go anywhere. Currently sitting at 61K miles.
When did that POS become collectible?
Fantastic. Now we need to tear up some back roads. Do you happen to know "SoulCrusher" with the white GT-3?

Congratulations on the new car! My experience over a variety of 911 models and 20+ years of ownership is that 911's like to be driven often. Mine have mostly been daily drivers, and I really believe they are more reliable and have fewer issues if they are driven regularly.
My only concern is the 2k miles annually for your commute. 911's do not particularly like lots of short trips in which the oil fails to reach operating temperature. If that is your situation, you might want to take a longer route sometimes. Of course, you might want to do that anyway. :-)

I don't have one yet but it is on order. It will be my daily commuter car to replace my aging Lexus.
I am keeping my 981 Boxster as a weekend toy for when I want to drive a sports car.

991.2 Targa MT daily driven 60 miles round trip commute plus all winter in Canada and taken to my hockey games. Gets dirty but cleans up real well. Why would I every drive a "lesser " car?

Daily driver here. I have a truck for really bad days or big hauls but I hate the damn thing. 911 is coming up on 58K miles.

If I had a job where I drove to an office and then home every day, I would daily it. But I don't. So it stays home.
I bought it with the intent of driving it daily, quickly realized that was not happening.
