Default PCAR touring Georgia Mountain Drive

Never been on an organized mountain run but I am willing to try most things once. Seems like a fun drive to the Tail of the Dragon which I have never done but I have never done an organized run and wanted to know other peoples opinions.

Also is any one from here going??? Sorta wish I knew more Porsche people, I am certain there will be great people participating but the rumor is the crowd is a bit older. Absolutely nothing against that... its just I am a bit younger (39) and would hate to feel like the odd man out.

Here is the link if any one cares to read up or better yet join the fun:

Thanks in advance for the input!

Looks like a great time and a fantastic place to stay.

I'm already hitting the hills this weekend with the Audi Club for their Quattro De Mayo. 101 Drivers registered.

Thanks for posting..... some day I'll have some time to hang with outer Porsche car owners.

You being in Atlanta, you should check out Pcar touring. Just did a run with them last week from Atlanta to asheville.

Looks similar to what the GT3 guys just did on their Smokies run.

Gotta say, that neck of the woods is epic (see link in my signature for pics).

I'm from Atlanta, John's creek, I go to the mountains often, usually with my neighbor and his Ferrari.

Hit me up, I'm 40 we can link up and have some fun.

Good trip, went and stayed at Tapoco a few weeks ago. Only thing I can say, summer is bad tourist season. Too many bikes and tourist to count. Its a big parade.
That said, after Tapoco go to Cherokee and take Blue Ridge Pkw to Asheville. All along the BRP is the best roads

Looking forward to it Christian! A number of Atlanta people on the board are avid contributors. It would be great to put a face with the posts we read.

Would definitely appreciate an invite next time you hit the mountains with your Ferrari neighbor. I bet a couple other guys I have spoken to on the board would love to join in also.

See you in a month if not sooner!

Same here. My neighbor is an awesome guy that likes to have adult safe driving fun. He has 2 Ferraris and 3 Benzes. We bonded over the Mercedes as I'm also a life long fan and keep an ANG next to my cab.

We did a Saturday spring run about a month ago up to the mountains.

Should be something soon on PCar touring FB page if not already. David is really good about it. In the mean time, look at the tour from last year on FB.
