2013 c2s here , anyone experience the rear engine lid that doesn't latch close ? i tried everything from the emergency lever in the frunk and tugging on the engine release cable. I hear a slight clicking sound when i pull on the engine release button on the driver door sill , NOT like the sound you hear when you open the frunk from the door sill

i tried to lube as well but the engine lid just wont latch close , if nothing works, is it safe to drive this going to the shop ?

 

Seems like the latch cable that runs from the interior may have moved out of position at the engine lid. A couple years ago when I was doing oil and filter change on my (then) 2012 991S, the latch cable came out of its position. It took some wiggling to snap it back in.

 

Want to trade lids? Mine won't stay open. I have new struts on order from Suncoast.
